Greetings!
Yes, it's me again, your decorator friend. You may have noticed we performed a little "make-over" here. Let's face it, every now and then a change is good. I'll admit if something is good and works I'm not one to mess with it, but I had the same logo since 1987....time for a new one don't you think? And let me know how you like here I'd love to hear from you!
You'll see this fresh, new, modern change here at this newsletter, the web site, business stationary, invoice, labels and all other matter of business, we did a complete re-branding.
And in celebration of this new "look" I'd like to dedicate this months newsletter to a couple of people that have been part of my team for a very long time. They are behind the scenes always working hard to make me and my work look great. Without these two individuals, I might not be here at all. So if you've not yet met them let me proudly introduce you to Melva Fairless, the lady that fabricates my draperies and Robert Wright of Robert E's Custom Installations, who many have already met in your homes when he and I come to measure and install your window treatments. And to you Melva and Robert....thank you so much for sharing your talent, your dedication and your experience to make my career as a decorator a rewarding one!
Have a great day today.

We speak draperies here!
Melva and I speak the same language now. But we did not when I first met her at the custom drapery workroom. I came from a tailoring and dressmaking background and she from a drapery background constructing and fabricating draperies, valances and cornices for interior designers and decorators. We came together from two very distinct and different disciplines but I could tell by looking at her hands handle the fabric that she knew exactly what her craft was!

From the first time project we worked together on back in 1985 she began to teach me about drapery construction . What I designed in my mind's eye, she taught me to translate to paper in precise math and geometry so that the equation and drawing could be read, tabled, blocked, cut, draped, sewed, mounted and hung with elegance and grace. Her work is beautiful and so is she!

Melva today, still making beautiful
custom draperies for me!
|
Melva's quiet character and patient "can do" approach helped me to grow my business forward. If you have lovely draperies from Marie Antoinette Interiors in your home, it is likely that this is the little lady that actually fabricated them. Still today she is my "go to gal" for draperies and I thank her for 28 wonderful years of untiring loyalty, friendship and her hands of gold.

Mr. Wright gets it right!
For well over a decade Robert Wright has been patiently installing draperies, blinds, shutters and mirrors in my client's homes. He knows from his 40 years of professional experience that there is no perfect window, just perfect draperies and he always makes sure they are just that. He makes my window treatment design and vision appear just as the client and I imagined it would and often times better.
 | | Robert makes every installation a perfect one for me and for my client's. |
I have never heard him say, "we can't do that" or "that is impossible"! No, Robert just does it and makes it seem easy.
Part engineer and part artist, he is a man of his craft and I so appreciate him.
 | | Robert knows it's all in the details! |
Without Robert and his wife Marcia, who devotedly works alongside of him, I would not be able to say "I am a window treatment expert"! I thank them both for their unwavering commitment and their friendship.
