Greetings!

So happy that California is finally showing off it's Spring like weather. I just can't help but be outside as much as possible, you too I'll bet? And if you are outside on your patio, porch or deck, like most of us, you're looking to spruce it up a little right? Does you patio furniture need some TLC, well so did mine. I've had this little wicker table and two chairs for years (like 20) here we go!

Yellow Wicker

It was originally white and though I took great care in cleaning it year after year, this year I painted it "yellow". It's true what they say, "never underestimate the power of paint" or "a woman with a mission". I'm here to encourage you; paint something old that you're ready to pitch and watch what happens, magic!

Hope you'll enjoy the wonderful article below from the Wall Street Journal. It's all about the new fashion curve of drapery or curtains and some new innovative ideas about what to do with all those big windows going forward into the summer season!

Blessings to all of you for a beautiful day.

Toni

The Comeback Curtain !

by Anne Marie Chaker of the Wall Street Journal

Curtains just got some va va va voom!

Some interior designers are looking for inspiration to women's fashion-specifically to the wispy, sheer blouses and pullovers more women are layering over camisoles and tank tops. The result is a layered, see-through window treatment, whether sheer curtains over half-opened shades, or textured curtains over sheer shades.

   Sheer Curtains

The window look? "Sexy," says New York-based interior designer Mindy Miles Greenberg.

Going Green in 2013 ?

Emerald Green Color of the 2013

Pantone, the keepers of everything color, announced their 2013 color of the year. And - drum roll, please - it's EMERALD! This lush, luxe green is earthy yet sophisticated, with a tone that calls to mind lush velvet and sparkly gemstones. It can be dressed up (tufted couches and silky fabrics) or dressed down (camp blankets and cotton pillows). What's your favorite way to incorporate emerald? Mine favorite way is of course, you guessed it; at the windows as drapery framing the view and perhaps even making it better!

Jump on over here to read how to incorporate this fabulous color in your home...
