Message from Jennifer
2012 Jennifer Stockard

Dear Friends,

Congratulations on another outstanding year! As this coat drive season comes to a close, it is my pleasure to share the achievements made possible with the support of our enthusiastic and dedicated friends. Here are numbers that warm our hearts and make us smile:

  • You and your teams held over 3,000 coat drives with us

  • 343 new agencies registered to help us distribute coats

  • An estimated 555,000 gently used coats were collected and given away

  • Generous donations enabled us to purchase and give away over 17,500 brand new children's coats from coast to coast

We will be making the most out of the upcoming warm weather months, too, reviewing our online tools and resources for ways to support even more coat drives across the country. We hope you will visit our website for updates through the months - and again as you plan your next One Warm Coat coat drive. Thank you for working with us this season to warm your community ...one coat at a time.

With deep appreciation,

Jennifer

Getting Organized

2013 Soccer Coat Drive

As warm weather returns, the tradition of Spring cleaning and the upcoming celebration of Earth Day offer two great reasons to hold a coat drive! As the kids trade in mittens for baseball gloves and snow boots for sneakers, parents find it convenient to pass along their families' outgrown coats. Many of our friends also find that recycling an unused warm coat fits perfectly into their Earth Day plans to reduce clutter and reuse valuable items. Whatever the weather, whatever the reason, a One Warm Coat drive makes helping others easy in every season!

P.S. Most of our agencies prepare for warm weather activities, too. As you plan spring and summer coat drives, be sure to phone your chosen community agency first, to be sure that they have storage for the coats you collect.
