EVERY WEDNESDAY The Tao of Meditation Class with Rev. Ron Moor EVERY Wednesday, except holidays 10:00am-11:30am $10-$15 suggested donation Deepen your meditative practice, or begin one by joining us on Wednesday mornings. Our weekly gathering is to read, meditate and dialog on the profound wisdom found in the 2500 year-old text of "The Tao TeChing." These 81 short, poetic sayings have offered relief, gentle guidance, and a pathway to inner peace for countless millions of people.
Each week we will begin with a few minutes of breath work to deepen our focus, read one of the sayings, and then bring these ancient words into a 30-minute silent meditation. Following the meditation we will join in an open discussion of the meaning as it relates to our lives today. Part of our discussion will also be about how to deepen our practice of silence and stillness.

with Rev. Ron Moor

Ron will ask us to explore. What is it that has called you from the more traditional western religions to the spiritual journey you are on? What is happening to human consciousness and how is that so integral to the intensification of evolutionary forces? What is our role? Are we here to be witnesses, are we here to be stewards or are we here to be full participants?

Potluck Roundtable
"The Struggle for Basic Income:
Issues and Possibilities"
with Dr. Karl Widerquist and Dr. Ann Withorn
Tuesday, May 10, 2016
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm Potluck;
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm Roundtable Conversation
Please bring a dish to share if you can
Basic Income asserts the human right to an income that is sufficient for a dignified life without means-testing or work requirement. Basic Income is not a new idea, with MLK in 1967 recognizing its potential "to abolish poverty altogether" and it is currently discussed globally, spanning local, state and national governments, organizations and individuals.
Come for a meal and join BIGMN - Basic Income Guarantee Minnesota for a conversation with veteran Basic Income Proponents Dr. Karl Widerquist and Dr. Ann Withorn. We will discuss the possibilities of a Basic Income movement in the U.S. and globally. How would a Basic Income contribute to the wellness and healing of humanity and the planet?
