An Introduction to Holi
The Festival of Color
This Sunday we will introduce Holi in preparation for our own Celebration on Sun, April 3. Holi is from the Hindu Tradition of India. It celebrates the colors of beautiful relations, a life full of colors, and dips in colorful hues of love. It will be great to see all KWS children dancing with us.
This year's theme:
We create beauty in our lives and our world
with Love, Wisdom, Respect, Honesty, Bravery,
Truth and Humility.
The foundation for the theme comes from
The Seven Grandfathers' Teachings
of the Ojibwe people.

Spirit United Community with Rev. Ron Moor, musician Lynn O'Brien and the Easter Labyrinth by Tom Vetter
In this, our last Easter in our current home, we will explore the New Story that is being born and reborn around and through us. For growing numbers of us, it is not the same old story over again that is emerging this time. We will explore and celebrate this New Story with music and movement as together we walk the exquisite Blossom in the Seed labyrinth and emerge into the light of the new consciousness. We will recognize and receive new members into our community.
To make it even more of a celebration, please bring a spring flower to place on the altar and to take home after the gathering, and wear some colorful, spring clothes.
We sense that 'normal' isn't coming back,
that we are being born into a new normal:
a new kind of society, a new relationship to the earth,
a new experience of being human.

LAST SUNDAY  Eros and The Road Home with Rev. Ron Moor and musician Claudia Schmidt
Mythological God Eros is always present. He makes things happen in new ways,  brings something new into world, creates, is sacred union and gives birth to something new. Logos is Eros' balancing factor. (Eros is more right brain. Logos more left brain.) Logos sorts things out, identifies, categorizes, and individualizes. For about 2000 years, we have been in the time of Logos, of rational left brain mind. We have needed to do this and right now we are in the not so good part of that and we are emerging into the new consciousness where both Eros and Logos are together. Ron spoke of these Gods as being strong energies that are always present in a particular kind of way. He spoke of Eros as a very potent energy calling us to our higher destiny. Join Maria for a Gentle Yoga Practice. It will be a gentle class, rich in tradition. Give yourself the gift of yoga, your mind body and spirit will thank you. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket or towel and dress comfortably.
Maria is a certified Hatha instructor through the Freehold Yoga Center with extra studies in Restorative Yoga from the Himalayan Institute. Maria also has knowledge in the uses and benefits of breathing techniques.

EVERY WEDNESDAY  The Tao of Meditation Class with Rev. Ron Moor EVERY Wednesday, except holidays 10:00am-11:30am $10-$15 suggested donation Deepen your meditative practice, or begin one by joining us on Wednesday mornings. Our weekly gathering is to read, meditate and dialog on the profound wisdom found in the 2500 year-old text of "The Tao TeChing." These 81 short, poetic sayings have offered relief, gentle guidance, and a pathway to inner peace for countless millions of people.
Each week we will begin with a few minutes of breath work to deepen our focus, read one of the sayings, and then bring these ancient words into a 30-minute silent meditation. Following the meditation we will join in an open discussion of the meaning as it relates to our lives today. Part of our discussion will also be about how to deepen our practice of silence and stillness.

This course is intended for the intermediate student of Astrology. The prerequisite is Dennis' Astrology I and II or its equivalent.
Each person has a special purpose: to become more whole, more loving and more compassionate. When and how that happens is programmed into the moment of everyone's birth. In this intensive we will explore techniques which illuminate the nature and timing of growth in our lives as well as the evolutionary intent within them. You will use your own astrological chart to learn the techniques. By the end of the day you will be able to see patterns from the past (even from previous life times!) that have reemerged in your life and predict times in the future when you will be invited to increase your conscious awareness.

Thich Nhat Hanh teaches the qualities of joy, solidity, calm and freedom are within us and are essential to happiness. These qualities can be cultivated through meditation. During this afternoon, each person will create four small collage images to reflect each of these essential qualities to use in your own meditation practice. The search continues. Please keep your eyes and ears tuned into any new home possibilities that come your way. Two properties were looked at this last week. Keep visualizing our home finding us.
