In the journey that each of us lives, Eros is the guide of the  quickened soul. The word for soul in the ancient Greek is psyche. Through the timeless myth of Eros and Psyche we will learn how Eros is more, much more than sexual encounter. It is the energetic force of spirit that calls our souls into mature unity, into the sacred marriage of soul and spirit. It is the call to our higher destiny. As we continue our quest for our new home, it is Eros drawing our communal and individuals psyches to something more. Are we ready?

and Mentors

Gabriel and Patrice 
Dr. Sellner spoke about our inherent kinship with animals and what our pets in particular can teach us about unconditional love, healing, forgiveness, and joy. He brought into the conversation stories from the Celtic saints who honor animals as teachers and beings of true  holiness. Gabriel and Patrice from Gardeners of the Heart brought Dr. Sellner's talk into the heart with indigenous sacred drumming and chant which included an Ojibwe healing song and dance with Sacred Bear Medicine. Join Maria for a Gentle Yoga Practice. It will be a gentle class, rich in tradition. Give yourself the gift of yoga, your mind body and spirit will thank you. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket or towel and dress comfortably.
Maria is a certified Hatha instructor through the Freehold Yoga Center with extra studies in Restorative Yoga from the Himalayan Institute. Maria also has knowledge in the uses and benefits of breathing techniques.

EVERY WEDNESDAY  The Tao of Meditation Class with Rev. Ron Moor EVERY Wednesday, except holidays 10:00am-11:30am $10-$15 suggested donation Deepen your meditative practice, or begin one by joining us on Wednesday mornings. Our weekly gathering is to read, meditate and dialog on the profound wisdom found in the 2500 year-old text of "The Tao TeChing." These 81 short, poetic sayings have offered relief, gentle guidance, and a pathway to inner peace for countless millions of people.
Each week we will begin with a few minutes of breath work to deepen our focus, read one of the sayings, and then bring these ancient words into a 30-minute silent meditation. Following the meditation we will join in an open discussion of the meaning as it relates to our lives today. Part of our discussion will also be about how to deepen our practice of silence and stillness.

This course is intended for the intermediate student of Astrology. The prerequisite is Dennis' Astrology I and II or its equivalent.
Each person has a special purpose: to become more whole, more loving and more compassionate. When and how that happens is programmed into the moment of everyone's birth. In this intensive we will explore techniques which illuminate the nature and timing of growth in our lives as well as the evolutionary intent within them. You will use your own astrological chart to learn the techniques. By the end of the day you will be able to see patterns from the past (even from previous life times!) that have reemerged in your life and predict times in the future when you will be invited to increase your conscious awareness.

Thich Nhat Hanh teaches the qualities of joy, solidity, calm and freedom are within us and are essential to happiness. These qualities can be cultivated through meditation. During this afternoon, each person will create four small collage images to reflect each of these essential qualities to use in your own meditation practice. Your unique creation will be a reminder of the qualities within you and support your restoration of them as they are forgotten in the stresses of life.

Relocation Update

 Spirit United is on the Move!
We will be out of our Como Ave location
by May 31st.
We will be granted a refund for the last three months of rent to compensate for all the improvements we have made over the years. This will help with moving expenses. This is all good news and helpful to our journey in finding our new home.
The search continues. Please keep your eyes and ears tuned into any new home possibilities that come your way.
