July 8, 2015
Greetings!
"Life has no meaning.
Each of us has meaning and we bring it to life.
It is a waste to be asking the question
when we are the answer."
~ Joseph Campbell
"We must be willing
to let go of the life we planned
so as to have the life that is waiting for us."

NEXT SUNDAY

The Spiritual Practice of Living With Purpose
with Rev. Ron Moor
and musician Barbara McAfee
Do you know what your life purpose is? Have you been asking Spirit what you are supposed to be doing and are still waiting for an answer? What if your life purpose is to become more fully human? We will explore, in words and music, what becoming more fully human might really mean, and perhaps take a step in that direction.
"Do not be too moral. You may cheat yourself out of too much life. Aim above morality. Be not simply good; be good for something."
~ Henry David Thoreau

LAST SUNDAY
The Time is NOW!
with community member Clara Grace James with musicians Meg Miura and David Chapman
Clara Grace talked about living our purpose in life. She intermingled teachings from great teachers with her own experience. She used her lotus flower photo as a reference and symbol for living life. Click here to go to our website to listen.*
* I have had technical difficulties posting the audio to the website. I am working to get caught up. Please check from time to time if it is not posted when you first check it out.

Temple of Light presents Kirtan: Call and Response Chanting
with Kim Klisch, Frank Florin,
Dave Urban, and Roger Klisch July 18, 2015 7:30pm-9:00pm Love donation Registration: Contact Kim by clicking here.
Kirtan is a sacred call and response chanting experience that comes to us from India. The repetition of ancient Sanskrit mantras and holy names induces a deep state of concentration and bliss. With its power to hear and open the heart, Kirtan is the primary practice of Bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion.
Temple of Light is an emerging Kirtan band in the Twin Cities that offers a meditative musical journey through vocals, harmonium, guitar, drum, and traditional Indian percussion instruments.

Book Study
"Heart Gut Head: Creating a Healthier Hierarchy"
by & with Ellen Swanson Sunday, July 19, 2015 is the first meeting. The group will decide future meeting dates. 12:00pm-1:30pm Bring your own lunch.
There will not be any particular chapters that need to be read by any particular meeting. This is about having a place to come to share and ask questions no matter where you are in the book. That is the Mandala Way, honoring what each person has to bring to the collective from wherever they are. That is true faith and trust, that each will hear something they need to hear from someone else.
