SURFING LIFE! Riding the Waves with Passion and Grace
with community member Sage Lewis
and music by James Schattauer

Surfing is a great analogy for life.  Getting out of our comfort zone is like riding the wave of life.  When we move into something that feels challenging  we have a decision to make.  We can grip the surfboard and say "Oh, God, here it comes" and smash into the wave, get water up our nose and grip from fear. Or we can relax and let go and say, "Wahoo, isn't this kinda fun." Or we can get off of our surfboard, hang out on the shore and wait for the next wave to come.  Experienced surfers are patient, really, really patient.  Sage talked about more about the wait and the journey. Click here to hear Sage's insight through her amazing story telling.

Symposium

Wednesday, May 13, 2015

6:00pm-8:00pm

Bring: Taco innards, dessert, or anything else that sounds good AND your own place setting (plate, cup and utensils) and a second set for anyone who forgets (if you can.)

Thank you for attending the Awakening the Dreamer symposium on April 26! What an inspiring group we are.  We came together to honor Pachamama: the earth, the sky, the universe, and all time. There was so much heart and wisdom in the room! It was a powerful day and we thank you for making it so.

This event was held as a means to bring together community; to make our collective journey easier and more fulfilling. Please join us for a potluck taco dinner from 6-8 pm at Spirit United to continue the conversation begun in the Symposium.

(Why tacos, you ask? Because of our mascot, the Wombat, of course! It was he who pointed out that "all this stuff-the animals, the water, the sky, the ground, the bugs, the fish, the tacos, the people-they're all connected.")
