Clothing: An Unexpected
Road to Self Discovery

Through story telling, DanMichael will recreate the winding road that brought him to discover the power of dressing with intention. Therein lay a path to self discovery and self actualization with the ability to create self responsibility, power and confidence.
DanMichael will show how giving attention to this seemingly superficial area of life can create a movement of beautiful, loving men standing up and speaking out as one to bring their unique God-given gifts to the world, while ushering in the evolution of the multidimensional man.Who is DanMichael?
DanMichael Batista brings a soulful twist to the world of fashion and image consulting. He was inspired by the power of outward appearance after working with underprivileged youth as a social worker in New York. To help them get jobs, he brought these young men to a local thrift store and bought their first suits. After getting them out of their baggy street clothes and into a new mature look, he was constantly amazed by their increased confidence, as well as the respect they suddenly garnered from the community around them. After repeatedly witnessing this profound transformation, DanMichael knew clothing truly has the power to change lives.
DanMichael seeks to fill the educational gap for men on the importance of dress and how to create a dynamic wardrobe on a budget. DanMichael has studied the philosophy of London's historic Savile Row, mentored under master tailors, and utilized his own personal style and knowledge of the resale market to help clients around the country revamp their wardrobes and improve their lives.

Ancient Mysteries / Ancient Wisdom, a local branch of the international Theosophical Society, will show the documentary "Advanced Ice Age Civilizations & Atlantis" 7 pm Monday, March 23 in Spirit United Church, 3204 Como Ave. SE, Minneapolis. The documentary introduces the lost civilization of Atlantis and examines the role of ice ages with the rise and fall of civilizations. Her presentation also will speak of unconditional love and forgiveness as a spiritual path to enlightenment, forgiveness and the world situation, and how to forgive another person with eight steps to freedom. She is the director of The Midwest Institute for Forgiveness Training.

You can make yourself feel better with simple gestures and your own breath. How it calms you down. It lets yesterday go. It gives you a feeling of safety. You are here for yourself. And as you release yesterday and even this moment, you allow your full attention to come into this day, this hour, this time. Turn your full attention to this wonderful, wonderful day.
