December 17, 2014
Greetings!
I got the blues thinking of the future, so I left, went off and made some marmalade. It's amazing how it cheers one up to shred oranges and scrub the floor.
~D.H. Lawrence

NEXT SUNDAY
SCHOOL SUNDAY
December 28, 2014
10:30am-11:30am
"The Unity of Now: Our Concluding School Sunday for 2014 " with Rev. Ron Moor
In this moment, past and present, future and destiny, come together and we are One. On this last Sunday of the year, we will briefly look back to the journey of our community through 2014, ground ourselves in the eternal present and call in our higher destiny. That destiny, in spite, or perhaps because of, our current troubles, is the co-creating of The New Story of our world.
Together we can help birth a world with more beauty, more joy, more connection, more exuberance, and more love than the one we have known. With luminous images, inspiring quotes, sacred chant and community discussion.

LAST SUNDAY
December 14, 2014
"The Wondrous Gift"
with Rev. Ron Moor
and musician Barbara McAfee
"There are three stories going on right now. The first is "everything is fine," the second, "things are going to hell" and the third story is "we're doing something; we're taking action. We are not just seeking to survive or facing doom. We are facing glorious possibility." "The fool is a healer...." Click here to listen.
Ron quoted Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone's Five Part Vow from their book Active Hope: How To Face The Mess We Are In Without Going Crazy.
I vow to myself and to each of you:
- To commit myself daily to the healing of our world and the welfare of all beings.
- To live on Earth more lightly and less violently in the food, products, and energy I consume.
- To draw strength and guidance from the living Earth, the ancestors, the future generations, and my bothers and sisters of all species.
- To support others in our work for the world and to ask for help when I need it.
- To pursue a daily practice that clarifies my mind, strengthens my heart, and supports me in observing these vows.
