October 22, 2014
Greetings!
"Journeys bring power and love back into you.
If you can't go somewhere, move in the passageways of the self. They are like shafts of light, always changing,
and you change when you explore them."
~ Rumi

THIS SUNDAY School Sunday
October 26,2014 10:30am-11:30am The Crucible and The Journey with Rev. Ron Moor Over the past nine months we have looked beneath the thin surface veneer of our cultural conditioning and started to let go. We have opened to the feminine brain and begun the process of aligning ourselves to universal source. Now we touch into transmutation as the purpose and meaning of our being. And what is it that we are transmuting? And into what? Join us on School Sunday as we continue our alchemical journey into greater love and freedom. With luminous images, inspirational quotes, and sacred chant.

NEXT SUNDAY
November 2, 2014 10:30am-11:30am
"An Attitude of Gratitude"
with Bettie Seitzer
and musician Dale Seitzer
For most of us it is easy to say "thank you" when we receive a gift; but gratitude is so much more than that. Gratitude is a way of life that will change a person's mood, health and relationship to their family, community and world. It is easiest to feel grateful when things are going well, not as easy when the going gets tough. Approaching all of life's challenges with an attitude of gratitude is worth the effort, and can become a daily habit that will create ripples of positivity!
|
LAST SUNDAY
"Ancient Earth Teaching of the
Medicine Wheel"
with guest speaker Ted Harrison
and musician James Schattauer
Ted assembled a medicine wheel as he taught us the basics for making our own wheel. "The medicine wheel is part of all traditions. You can find them on each of the continents," he said. "These earth teachings are coming from the stars. All the wheels are related. As people we have the right to make our own altar and the medicine wheel is one way to do that." Listen to the entire message by clicking here.
"Ted was fantastic! You could really feel the energy of the Medicine wheel when the stones & crystals were moved from the wheel on the blanket to beyond where we were all sitting. I hope Ted will come back again to share more of his stories and knowledge!" ~ Comment from a participant

A "Know Thyself" Experiential
with Ellen E. Swanson Sunday, November 2, 2014 1:00pm-4:00pm

Register: Contact Ellen by clicking here, by phone 952-929-1142, or sign-up at SU.
The word 'mandala' comes from a Sanskrit root word meaning "enclosing the essence." I also like to think of it as embracing the essence. It is difficult to visualize the circular embrace of your own essence in this linear society. This model invites us to balance our seemingly singular focus on the linear with the contributions of the circular. Serve the circular hors d'oeuvre by placing it on the coffee table of life, and let others pick it up when they are ready.
Objectives:
1. To provide a "Know Thyself" experiential guided by your inner genius, that unseen attendant spirit in each of us. This applies to whatever stage of self-knowing you have currently achieved. We can always learn more. 2. To personalize the Jungian purpose of a mandala, to reunify the self. This circular model provides a new visual in which to embrace ourselves in this linear world, both consciously and unconsciously. And, 3. To provide a tool that can be re-applied over and over in many life aspects as we learn and grow.
Certificates of attendance will be available if you foresee this is something for which you could use credits.

Quotes about Alchemy and Transmutation
"Transmutation is spiritual alchemy. It's about wielding universal laws and forces. When you know how to move among higher and lower energy frequencies in order to transmute one into the other, miracles happen." ~ Melody Larson*
"Klossowski de Rola, in his book, Alchemy: The Secret Art, describes alchemy as 'a rainbow bridging the chasm between the earthly and heavenly planes, between matter and spirit'. He describes how the alchemical texts have concealed in their enigmatic symbols, 'the means of penetrating the very secrets of Nature, Life, and Death, of Unity, Eternity, and Infinity'." ~ The Alchemical Journey*
"Alchemy offers us the possibility to relieve suffering, achieve peace of mind, increase our vitality and creativity and overcome our fear of death through direct experience with the invisible realms that continually weave together matter and spirit." ~ The Alchemical Journey*
"Alchemy is a living practice, a way of life, a
journey into the profound mysteries of life, a search to find the gold that lies within each of us." ~ The Alchemical Journey*
"... The Gift of Transmutation, a state of natural harmony with all life...and yourself...deep within the Universal Soul, of which you are a cherished and intimate part. Allow yourself to go on this inner journey...into the Spirit of your Beautiful Infinite Self. For here is where you shall find your Truth."
~ Diana Lynn Kekule*
