THIS SUNDAY
School Sunday
September 7, 2014
10:30am-11:30am

"Get Ready! Spirit Sunday is Coming September 21"

            with Rev. Ron Moor

September is a month full of opportunities for our community. With Spirit Sunday, our jump start to the fall season, happening on September 21 and special guest speaker James Ulness scheduled on the 28th, we are moving School Sunday to September 7.  And don't forget our Fall Equinox drum and ceremony on Friday evening the 19th.

Our sub-theme for September is Wandering in the Vastness: Home is Everywhere.  In this phase of our journey toward love and freedom, we are well into our process.  Having opened more to love and begun to "see" more clearly, we are feeling more at home in the universe and experiencing more of the wonders of creation.  Abundance takes on new meaning, and new understanding.  Together we will explore wonder and abundance as we prepare for our Sunday of Spirit.  This presentation is filled with inspirational quotes, luminous images and sacred chant.

NOTE:  The Early Service on the first Sun. of the month-Wags and Worship is no longer scheduled to meet.

Kids With Spirit
KIDS WITH SPIRIT BEGINS AGAIN SEPTEMBER 14, 2014.

The theme for this year is evolving from JOY.  As it unfolds, I will let you know.
NEXT SUNDAY
September 14, 2014
10:30am-11:30am

"Walking in the Footsteps of the Celtic Mystic,
The Art of Deep Listening"
with Lynne Riley, RN and author.

Weaving together early Celtic mystical beliefs and the promise of connection expressed in the Deep Ecology movement, Lynn will present stories from her own experience and suggest practices that can lead a path of greater intentional opening awareness.  Her book is entitled "Seeing with the Heart".
LAST SUNDAY
August 31, 2014

Healing Service: Warm Hearts and Healing Hands
with
Rev. Ron Moor, Healers,
and musicians James Schattauer
and Bettie Seitzer

On this Labor Day Sunday we created a sanctuary of healing.  People came.  They chose from four options of participating with the healing energy.  People sat within the circle of healing and received hands on energy from one of our healers gifting their warm heart and healing hands. People walked the labyrinth. People sat in quiet meditation, listening to beautiful harp music.  People went into the meditation room after having the choice to light a candle in prayer.

The healing message of the day was not recorded so you will not find it on the Spirit United website.  This event is very experiential in nature so if you missed it, come to our next healing service.

This Steven Speilberg classic movie,"Always," stars Richard Dreyfus, Holly Hunter, John Goodman and Audrey Hepburn.  It explores the afterlife and our connection to it with a most compelling story of love, hope and adventure. A remake of the classic Spencer Tracy film, "A Guy Named Joe."  A Forest Service pilot who takes great risks with his own life to douse deadly wildfires, after promising his frightened fiancée to keep his feet on the ground and go into teaching, is killed during one last flight.  His spirit wanders restlessly, hopelessly attached to and possessive of Hunter, who can't see or hear him. Audrey Hepburn makes her final screen appearance as an angel.

We all have "stuff" that inhibits our freedom to be, to make healthy choices. Past Life Healing is a proven highly effective way to access the source of such inhibiting patterns and release them, with awareness, so we can learn, grow, and move on toward our higher destiny. Past Life Healing combines hands-on energy work with spiritual guidance in an effective partnership of caring that leads to awareness, release, integration and healing.

Each student will be a "client", exploring some of their own early and past life experiences. Each student will be a healing facilitator, learning to guide another through their process. This is an advanced class, with at least one prior class with Ron required, or prior training in other energy healing modalities.

The video is a 1-hour collection of 14 videos featuring the 24 pieces of art in the Pineal Tones series of Dr. Todd Ovakaitys, combined with the toning pairs as recorded at the Lemurian Reunion 12/21/12.  Each pairing of the tones and art are communication portals and activations for accessing and receiving energy in a most unique manner. The songs of light, sound and color that remind us of our "home" are deeply transforming personally, while also uplifting the planetary vibrational field as a whole.

Members of the choir & others who have experienced Dr. Todd's workshops will be present for a discussion, so please join us for this very experiential night.

FYI-A Workshop is coming this fall.  Immersion in the DNA Field Workshops w/Dr. Todd will be coming to Bloomington, MN. Sat, Oct 12 & Sun, Oct 13, 2014.  More information to come.

QUOTES ABOUT HOME

Home is not where you live

but where they understand you.

~Christian Morgenstern

Peace - that was the other name for home.

~Kathleen Norris

Where we love is home,
Home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts.
~Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.

Home is a name, a word, it is a strong one;

stronger than magician ever spoke, or spirit ever answered to, in the strongest conjuration.

~Charles Dickens

The light is what guides you home,

the warmth is what keeps you there.

~Ellie Rodriguez

Where Thou art - that - is Home...
Where Thou art not - is Woe...
~Emily Dickinson

Home is a shelter from storms - all sorts of storms. ~William J. Bennett

You need a village,

if only for the pleasure of leaving it.

A village means that you are not alone,

knowing that in the people, the trees, the earth,

there is something that belongs to you,

waiting for you when you are not there.

~Casare Pavese

Home is where the heart can laugh without shyness. Home is where the heart's tears

can dry at their own pace.

~Vernon Baker

He is the happiest, be he king or peasant,

who finds peace in his home.

~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Home is the one place in all this world

where hearts are sure of each other.

It is the place of confidence.

It is the place where we tear off that mask of

guarded and suspicious coldness which the world forces us to wear in self-defense,

and where we pour out the unreserved communications of full and confiding hearts.

It is the spot where expressions of tenderness gush out without any sensation of awkwardness

and without any dread of ridicule.

~Frederick W. Robertson
