NEXT SUNDAY
|
 LAST SUNDAY SCHOOL SUNDAY
July 27, 2014
"The Love That Moves The Stars" with Rev. Ron Moor
The message Ron shared: When I open to love and "marry" myself, I accept my opposites and bring them to compliment. As I engage this union with myself in my daily interactions with others and this materialistic world, my love becomes most potent. Believing and acting in the knowing I am to be honored and I am sacred, my love can best change the world. Being aware that my words to others and myself are food. What am I feeding myself and those around me? I am reminded that using intentional language/communication is vital.
The audio for this service will be posted next week. I did not get to SU on Sunday (a rarity) to be able to make it happen. I regret any inconvenience to you. Shannon

Do You Know Him?
Submitted by Ellen Swanson found on a favorite blog.
Posted: 22 Jul 2014 on Kneading Bread
Written by Kathy Caron in November 2009.
Do you know him?
Do you know him?
Is he really a sinner?
For being the person God created him to be?
The bright, inquisitive boy who has a heart of gold?
The boy who cares deeply for the rights of others?
The boy with the playful spirit, and creative depth?
Do you know him?
The young man who struggles to accept who God created him to be?
The young man who is following his path, with righteousness and care?
The young man who cares about the world
So deeply that it is painful?
Do you know him?
The brother of the two who silently, obediently, listened
While you called him a sinner?
The son who always takes time to remember birthdays, anniversaries
making things by hand that he knows would be special?
Because he notices.
Because it matters to him.
No, you don't know him.
Yet you judge him.
Using God's word as your shield.
He is my son.
He is not a sinner
Not for embracing who God created him to be.
He is simply trying to be that person.
Yet, he has the burden of living in a world filled with fear and judgment
About who he is.
He is just like you and I
Created in the image and likeness of God.
Do you really know him? God, I mean.

Enhanced Prayer Ministry
Your prayer requests will be held in community meditation with sacred intention everyday for one month to enhance the power and intention of your prayer.
To use this enhanced prayer service: Fill out the request form and place it in the wooden prayer box on the pillar next to the meditation room. Provide specifics to your prayer request to enhance intentional focus.
This prayer service is inspired by and in the memory of Marilyn Sholl, Gordy Chatterton, and Kathleen O'Donovan. These beautiful souls now live in the heavens and continue to guide us as they live in the hearts of our community.
