 THIS SUNDAY SCHOOL SUNDAY
July 27, 2014 10:30am-11:30am
"The Love That Moves The Stars" with Rev. Ron Moor
Our theme for July is Opening to Love and The Sacred Marriage. We all know this is an inner marriage within ourself--bringing the opposites into compliments and engaging the world, and one another, as "Thou".
We will explore how we do this in our individual, materialistic world and so enter into the garden of mystic lovers with sacred chant, luminous images, and inspirational quotes.

Communicate with Love Reminder
Shared by Karen Greer
Found on a favorite blog
by Cheryl Richardson, a nationally known Coach,
in her weekly blog, titled "Reaction & Old Wounds"
When we act while feeling angry or upset, there's a good chance we'll just escalate a negative situation. After all, THE ENERGY WE BRING TO AN ENCOUNTER WITH ANOTHER PERSON INVITES SIMILAR ENERGY IN RETURN. You might want to read that last line again!
THE ENERGY WE BRING TO AN ENCOUNTER WITH ANOTHER PERSON INVITES SIMILAR ENERGY IN RETURN.
Reacting out of anger doesn't serve anyone and rarely is there a sound argument for responding immediately when something sets you off.
Better to step back and wait because you just never know what's happening behind the scenes.
In any given situation when buttons get pushed, there's a good chance that 75% of the reaction on both sides has nothing to do with present day circumstances. Instead, the intensity is a good indication that old wounds have just been reopened.
Instead, I ask myself a couple questions first:
- Do I want to be met by the energy I'm offering right now?
- Who can I talk with before I respond?
Life is hectic and overwhelming and busy for us all. The pace of society has trained us to react.
But reacting doesn't invite love. Love does!

Annual "Sharing Our Talents" Service 2014
with community member Robert Dunn as host.
Sign-Up now to participate.
It will be the Sunday service on August 10, 2014 10:30am-11:30am
This service celebrates our community and the talents within it. In the past participants recited stories, read poetry (originals and not), sang, danced, played an instrument, performed magic tricks, shared artwork-poetry, paintings, drawings and more.
We can have space for 9 acts--5 people have already committed. Each act can be up to 3 minutes in length. Whatever your talent, sign-up. There is a sheet at Spirit United to place your name because you must indicate your interest ahead of time to be included.
If you do not to plan to share your talent, plan to attend this wonderful annual event. The energy in the room is always amazing--magical!

Enhanced Prayer Ministry
Your prayer requests will be held in community meditation with sacred intention everyday for one month to enhance the power and intention of your prayer.
To use this enhanced prayer service: Fill out the request form and place it in the wooden prayer box on the pillar next to the meditation room. Provide specifics to your prayer request to enhance intentional focus.
This prayer service is inspired by and in the memory of Marilyn Sholl, Gordy Chatterton, and Kathleen O'Donovan. These beautiful souls now live in the heavens and continue to guide us as they live in the hearts of our community.
