 THIS SUNDAY SERVICE
SCHOOL SUNDAY
June 22, 2014
10:30am-11:30am
"A Time for Healing"
with Rev. Ron Moor
We have woken up, we have started our search, we have been looking within, we have been letting go. Now it is time for some healing. When we encounter what Rumi calls the "Friend", a deeper process takes over and healing begins. We hear the music. We will explore how this can happen as we go deeper into our journey. With luminous images, sacred chant, and inspirational quotes. "All day and night, music, a quiet, bright reed song. If it fades, we fade." ~Rumi

Jeffery Grundtner

He spoke of the barriers systems, attitudes and old patterns bring. His speaking his story and it being heard was a celebration for all the fathers who have stories to be heard. Jeff share some of the wisdom about healthier, more mindful parenting of children. Being witness to Jeffery's healing in process and to hear his wisdom was a privilege to all who attended. Thank you Jeffery. Because of how personal this service was, it will not be posted on the website.

Sunny Days
By Gregg Erlandson
When I was young, every day I found time to play in the sun, even on a cloudy one.
On days that it rained or stormed, those didn't seem bother me, I simply played inside.
As the years passed, I found less time to play and the days seemed to be cloudier.
I tried to compensate by making the Sun brighter, thinking that I could make it shine through the clouds, especially the darker ones.
After years of trying and failing, I realized the Sun was out of my Wheel
of influence and I could never re-invent it, to be any brighter.
Out of frustration of feeling powerless, I walked over to the center of my inner-child's-Lodge, announcing I am finally ready to listen with opened heart.
As I stood as close as I could to their blazing fire,
I heard the distinctive voice of the Great Spirit say:
"Make peace in all Directions of your life!"
At that exact moment as I held that hot ember of advice from the hearth,
everything became perfectly clear to me.
The clouds were my creations and the Sun was not.
I feel at peace now Above and Below, knowing that the Sun is good Medicine,
from all Directions and always Shines on me.
For me, these create my "Sunny Days" to play and to have fun, even on a cloudy one.
