The Gifts of Animal Hospice"

In every moment we are dying small deaths - moving through fear and deeper into love. If we are able to fully embrace life (and love), we can easily and gracefully embrace all of the small, medium and larger deaths that show up.
Join Sage Lewis as she guides you to access simple and easy ways of fully living your life, while embracing and letting go of the smaller and larger deaths. Sage will be sharing the heartwarming depths of her experience with supporting her 12-1/2 year old Plott Hound and souldog, Java, through aging, hospice and a natural dying process last Spring.

-Discovering Soul.
The children began our service leading the procession of flowers to beautify our altar.
We welcomed new members to our community.
Our celebration concluded with a pot luck.
Thank you Robin Rick and Suzanne Lauer
for hosting the pot luck.
 
Our souls were fed with song, people, beauty,
and wonderful food.

This land, Minnesota/Wisconsin on Turtle Island, has its own organic holiness. In this intermediate class we will study the sacred Medicine Wheels of this place, opening to its native spirituality. We will integrate this into a powerful hands-on healing technique, the Healing Wheel of Life. A crucial part of our learning is engaging in experiential exercises and ceremonies that bring us into a greater understanding and sense of unity with all creation. Open to all.

 "The Mysteries of Easter" with Rev. Ron Moor

What is Easter, really? Why are there so many different celebrations on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox? What is the deeper meaning of the events of Holy Week? What is the resurrection, really? What does it all mean to 21st century humans striving to regain their connection with creation and creator? We will look at the earliest known "Easter type" rituals that date back at least 18,000 years, check out the later pre-Christian rites, spend some time with Jesus and Mary Magdalene, and discuss the post religious possibilities that are now emerging. With images, lecture, discussion and meditation we will explore the magic and myths of this special time of year.
After our Saturday afternoon together of questing and discussing perhaps we will be more able to appreciate and participate in our community Celebration of Easter on Sunday morning.

Enhanced Prayer Ministry
Your prayer requests will be held in community meditation with sacred intention everyday for one month.
An expanded and rich prayer ministry is here to enhance the power and intention of your prayer. A group of individuals will pray simultaneously every day for one month per request.
Our guidance comes from Healing Presence and Spirit United's Guiding Principles.
All who come to Spirit United are invited to use this service.
To use this enhanced prayer line, use the prayer request form and place it in the prayer box (currently a prototype) on the table next to the meditation room. Be specific with your prayer to provide specific focus. Your request will be honored for one month.
Know that you will be given the option to request your prayer be published in the Spirit United's e-newsletter. The newsletter reaches hundreds of people who may also pray for your request.
This evolving service is inspired by and in memory of Marilyn Sholl, Gordy Chatterton, and Kathleen O'Donovan. These beautiful souls now live in the heavens and continue to guide us as they live in the hearts of our community.
