The Wild Moon Bhaktas' sound is born of the timeless folk rhythms and wide open mystic spaces that lie between the ghats of the Ganges and the banks of the Mississippi. Raised on the roots music of their own country, then nourished by the music of India's Bhakti-Yogis and Sufi Mystics, the Wild Moon Bhaktas play kirtans and heart chants in Sanskrit and English and sing the ecstatic poems of Rumi, Kabir and Mirabai. They will share a Sufi story, Fatima, the Spinner and the Tent.

St. Jude's Primary in Uganda
The trip began at St. Jude's Primary school in Kasana, Uganda. The school serves 700 children in grades 1-7. The second half of the trip was a safari to three of Uganda's amazing national parks. One was Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where we hiked into the mountains to see the mountain gorillas!
Our afternoon will include video of a drumming contest at the school, information about the school system in Uganda, many photos of the safari and the mountain gorillas. And, refreshments will be served including Ugandian coffee.
Bettie Seitzer will sell her honey and beeswax candles from her hive in St. Paul. 20% will go to Spirit United and 80% will go to St. Jude's School of Uganda.

Enhanced Prayer Ministry
Your prayer requests will be held in community meditation with sacred intention everyday for one month.
An expanded and rich prayer ministry is here to enhance the power and intention of your prayer. A group of individuals will pray simultaneously every day for one month per request.
Our guidance comes from Healing Presence and Spirit United's Guiding Principles.
All who come to Spirit United are invited to use this service.
To use this enhanced prayer line, use the prayer request form and place it in the prayer box (currently a prototype) on the table next to the meditation room. Be specific with your prayer to provide specific focus. Your request will be honored for one month.
Know that you will be given the option to request your prayer be published in the Spirit United's e-newsletter. The newsletter reaches hundreds of people who may also pray for your request.
This evolving service is inspired by and in memory of Marilyn Sholl, Gordy Chatterton, and Kathleen O'Donovan. These beautiful souls now live in the heavens and continue to guide us as they live in the hearts of our community.
