"Love That Moves The Stars" Part Two
with Reverend Ron Moor

Together we will go deeper into the emerging paradigm of relationship, friendship and community.   How is Spirit United transforming community?  What are we creating?  How do we live it?  Luminous images, lyrical poetry and sacred chant will accent our discussion.

         A Time of Expectancy
with
Rev. Ron Moor
and musician, James Schattauer

We are well into autumn with longer nights and shorter days.  The time of Expectancy is here as we move toward Solstice and Christmas.  On our first Sunday of Expectancy we focus on the gift of hope.    Let's explore how having hope can take the edge off of our anxieties and the hardness of fears.

Last Sunday's Service

"Deep Listening and Contemplative Chanting as Pathways to the Divine"
with guest speaker, Robert Kokott
A member of SU shared the following:

Bobby Kokott's service focused on healing through sound, which was powerful for me.  Personally, I was gifted amazing messages of gratitude and more through my body, heart and mind.  It was so centering and healing.  Quotes I gleaned are:
  • "The first duty of love is to listen."  That then was reworded into "The first beauty of love is to listen."
  • "The mind of God is a cosmic music."
  • "Music is continuous.  Only listening is intermittent."  from John Cage.
  • "We have two ways of listening.  The first is through our ears.  The second is through our bones and body."  "The quieter we get, the more we hear through our bones and body.  And dancers (among others) are bones and body listeners."

Thoughts from Carol McCormick

Leaders today appear to have forgotten what it means to be in service to humanity.  They are caught in conflict and chaos.

It is important for us to remember there is power in numbers.  Through prayer and meditation, we have the ability to bring about change.  When we energetically bring in Light, we change the consciousness.  When many speak Truth, the tide will turn.

Photo submitted with "A Call to Action"  The title is "Small Acts Matter."
