"My Kingdom is Not of This World"
with guest speaker Bill Torvund
Many seekers often contrast the question of the meaning and value of temporal life with the nature of spiritual life. The passage in the New Testament (as written as a quotation of Jesus) - "the Kingdom of Heaven is here, it is simply that people do not see it" is often misunderstood and has been for the basis for severe (and often inhumane) treatment of Christians and others. It is also used as a justification for the total disregard of the Earth and the physical realm.
In this school Sunday format, quoting from the original Aramaic, Bill Torvund will clarify the meaning of this passage and offer a unitive perspective on the nature of the sacred in all realms of existence, and the statement (as Jesus states in the Logia of the Thomas) "the Kingdom of Heaven is here, it is simply that people do not see it."

It is "Growing Spirit" Sunday! And, Rev. Ron Moor returns after a month sabbatical refreshed and renewed. Join him as we celebrate and bless who we are as we grow with Spirit United. Ron will offer a brief message on the two tests of the spiritual path, dedicate the new altar, facilitate a conversation about our exciting spiritual community and our role as members and friends in it. Kids With Spirit Resumes

On this day we will finish the masks we began in the spring by painting them. If you did not make a mask, no worries. We will have mask shells for you to create your own design upon.

Richard Koepsel will present a brief mytho-history of the Children of Fire, stretching from The Garden of Eden to the present. Richard was proprietor of Microcosm Book Shop for 40 years in Madison, Wisconsin, a place for teaching and discussion of spiritual matters. He taught courses in spiritual philosophy and astrology across North and South America. He also has served as a computer support person for the High Energy Physics Dept. at the University of Wisconsin.

What most Christians, Jews and Muslims do not realize is that the popular conception of the Ark of the Covenant as a simple golden box is incomplete. Books about the Ark speculate that the Ark was a weapon, a capacitor or power source, a container. They barely mention its complete parts, its secret history or its true capability.
As William Henry shows in his book, the Ark is actually one component of a larger, supernaturally powerful Judgment Day 'device'. Its content is a search for the Ark's missing pieces and its complete hidden function. The phenomena associated with this Device makes clear that it is some form of otherworldly ascension tool. It has the capability of making a human holy on contact and transmuting flesh into light. With it, one can ascend and travel the stars. This is why it is the most coveted device of human history. The purpose for the workshop is to deepen our understanding of our relationship with time, money, energy and resources in our work and in our lives. Even though we theorize about abundance, many of us need to reconcile deep ambivalence about our desires for the good life with one's spiritual values. Sometimes making peace with teachings of renunciation as well as awareness of the needs on our planet seems hard to balance with the demands and choices of modern life. When is enough, enough? Many carry karmic memories of poverty; others equate godliness with lack; still others think wealth of all kinds indicates blessings from above. Part of the intention of this workshop is to face without blinking the hard questions that arise on this complex subject. The ultimate goal is for each of us to find our inner peace about all our resources and then consciously choose how we will use them.
