Theosophical Society's
August Calendar of Events
The Theosophical Society's Monthly Calendar of Events will be a new feature to be published in the first Newsletter of every month. Their Event Calendar will let all Spirit United members and friends know of the Society's upcoming events...which may well have appeal to all. - Sunday, August 4, noon - 2:00pm. A vegetarian potluck will be held at LAKE HARRIET in the picnic area across the lawn from the band shell. Look for the green balloons to find the tables for the Minneapolis Theosophical Society's gathering. Bring your favorite veggie dishes, fruit and beverages. Not meat items, please. This event is free.
- Monday, August 12, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A special birthday celebration for Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical Society. We will discuss the life and work of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and her contemporaries as we celebrate with cake and punch. Free will donation suggested.

This is an all-call for those who would like to be in the know and at the leading-edge of bringing new and wonderful seminars and events to Spirit United. Many hands, each doing a small part of a large event or seminar, can make it happen with wonderful results...e.g. how the church was renovated in only one week.! Working together, we can bring excellent people, seminars, classes and new ideas to those in our church as well as to the greater community.
PLEASE JOIN US AT 12:30 ON THE 4TH OF AUGUST FOR A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO THE NEW CONCEPT OF AN "EVENTS TEAM" AT SPIRIT UNITED. LEARN HOW YOU MIGHT LEND A HAND OCCASIONALLY TO HELP US CREATE A GROWING AND DYNAMIC SPIRIT UNITED.

Fees for advertising in the Newsletter:
As of August 1, 2013, Spirit United will begin charging all members and non-members for their advertising in the Newsletter at the following rates:

Non-members: $25 for two publications of an event occurring at Spirit United, unless Spirit United is co-sponsoring the event through its Education/Events Committee...in which case, there will be no charge.
-
Members: $15 for two publications of an event occurring at Spirit United which is either organized and run by a member, individually, or by a group or business organized and run by a member.
-
Members: $20 for two publications of an event occurring at a venue other than Spirit United which is organized and run by the member or a group or business organized and run by a member.
-
In all cases, the person or group advertising may specify the two dates (must be a Wednesday) upon which it is desired that the ad appear in the newsletter.
-
A member or non-member may choose to advertise only once, in which case, the fee will be only half of that shown above.
