Spirit United 2013 Theme:
Living the New Paradigm
June: Where We Live
|
This Sunday ~ June 30, 2013 ~ 10:30-11:30am
Guest Speaker:
Rev. Carolyn Cahill
"Everything's Calling Us
Deeper Home"
As pioneers of the emerging new paradigm, we claim responsibility for creating ever-more caring relationships with our selves, our communities (from intimate to global) and our earth. Challenges are inevitable, and part of our service--and a source of strength and joy--can come through recognizing and remembering that such challenges are simply
calling us deeper home...that is, calling us to remember that everything is a part of one Universal Consciousness.
As a former Lead Minister of Spirit United, Carolyn looks forward to being back and sharing some ideas for navigating our multi-dimensionality and the oft-chaotic path of paradigm-building, as well as sharing the joy of knowing we are all One.

Workshop: With Rev. Carolyn Cahill
The Levels of Consciousness
and the Wisdom of the Basic Self:
An Introduction Saturday, June 29, 2013, 10:00am-5:00pm and Sunday, June 30, 1:00pm-5:00pm
The World Soul, the Anima Mundi, has a new evolutionary call. The very fabric of consciousness is changing. There is great opportunity for rapid advancement, which also means that there is great opportunity for crisis. We see it in the world around us, which means it is inevitable that it exists with us, to some degree or another.
We are both human and divine. We are multi-dimensional beings. Now is the time to understand more deeply our inner make-up so as to appropriately and responsibly utilize each level of consciousness. Befriending and working effectively with the Basic Self (one's instinctual nature, and so much more) and understanding its relationship to our Conscious Self, Higher Self, and the Anima Mundi (World Soul) of which it is a part, is key to restoring harmony and balance, experiencing a renewed sense of well-being and authentic power, and the integration and synthesis of the Soul. Carolyn's introduction to this work will include practices to release old memories and scars that block the full expression of the authentic inner self.
Investment: $75. Registration deadline: Sunday, June 23.

A Reflection by Rick Scholl...
In anticipation of Carolyn Cahill, our former pastor, joining us this weekend, I found myself reflecting on my 5 years at Spirit United. I recall how much I loved her teachings and the messages she shared. And, I remember how sorry I was to see her leave. Then, I realized we have not been idle here.
Our Spirit United Community has been, currently is and will continue to live the new paradigm (as Rev. Ron Moor's theme this year speaks to in his Sunday services and on School Sundays). I see new people continuing to find us as others leave to seek new horizons. I see Spirit United continuing to struggle to meet the monthly financial obligations. But, I know this too is a part of shifting into the new paradigm. We may not be materially wealthy but in spirit we are wealthy indeed.
These are exciting times!
Rick Scholl is a Council of Steward Member and Treasurer for Spirit United.
