May 15, 2013
Greetings!
Sometimes I go about pitying myself,
and all the time
I am being carried on great winds across the sky.

By Catherine Wilson and Glenda Huston
On the ancient temples at Delphi and Luxor, and on the walls of Spirit United, are the words "Know Thyself." Next Sunday ~ A School Sunday
"Learning Through Soul"
By Shannon DuFresne
10:30am-11:30am
While we may have some idea of what the world should look like, we want to know more, to get specific so we can put new practices into play and make better choices. On our continued journey of Living the New Paradigm, we will take an in-depth look at the area of education and learning, and what that might look like through soul.

Last Sunday's Service
"Finding the Light Within"
By: Jennelle Donnay, Michael Dinsmore and Justin Orloff The Mother's Day service was both inspirational and full of hope. If three young adults can be so wise so soon, then there is more than hope, there is promise! If you missed this service, you will surely want to listen by clicking here .

Workshop:
"KNOW THYSELF"
Sunday May 19, 2013 ~ 1 - 5:00pm
Glenda Huston assisted by Catherine Wilson
This is a companion workshop to follow the Sunday Service on May 19,"Know Thyself." It will provide an opportunity to know yourself on a deeper level through the process of SoulCollage®. Using scissors, glue and a stack of images, you will learn to create a deck of 5x8 collage cards that represent various aspects of your personality and Soul. Founder, Seena Frost, describes SoulCollage as a way to intuitively answer life's questions and participate in self-discovery. SoulCollage is a form of meditation - of listening to your soul. See how the various aspects of yourself can be revealed, healed and celebrated.
Course fee: $40
Materials: $5

"Cami"
On May 3rd, Cami, a 9 year old Calico Cat, made her transition from this earth due to natural causes. Her caretaker, Janet Bergman, wrote the following, with a heart full of gratitude, joy and sadness.
Things I learned from the calico cat who lived with me for 9 years.
1. Show affection by touching someone's face with your paw.
2. Greet one another when you arrive home (or shortly upon waking from a catnap).
3. Exercise can be done with a cat on your tummy or back.
4. Take naps in the sun.
5. Share a little salmon, tuna, and ice cream.
6. Take time to play every day.
7. Meditate together.
8. Slow down to just be with each other.
9. Make memories to treasure and savor.
And when it's time to part, Let Go Into the Hands of God.

Spirit United Matters
- The Spirit Vine Listeners will be available after church services for a one-on-one talking/listening session for anyone who needs an ear or support for whatever may be happening in his or her life. You will find a Spirit Vine person outside the meditation room after the service for this purpose. This idea and request came from several of those people attending the "Who are We and Where are We going " forum a few weeks ago. Thanks for the suggestion.
