Greetings!

As long as we see what has come to pass as unfair,

we will be a prisoner of what might have been.

  This Sunday's Service
"Finding the Light  Within"
May 12, 2013  ~  10:30-11:30am
By: Jennelle Donnay, Michael Dinsmore and Justin Orloff

FreedomWe live in a fast-paced world, with high tech phones, media and weapons.  Consumerism challenges the resources on our Earth.  How does one find balance within the new technologies and seeming chaos of today?

Please join us as new members, Jennelle Donnay, Michael Dinsmore and Justin Orloff,  share with us from the perspective of younger adults, how they seek to find the light within the darkness of this struggle.  By going through the darkness, and with the support of community, a light can be born.

This is a companion workshop to follow the Sunday Service on May 19,"Know Thyself."  It will provide an opportunity to know yourself on a deeper level through the process of SoulCollage®.  Using scissors, glue and a stack of images, you will learn to create a deck of 5x8 collage cards that represent various aspects of your personality and Soul.  Founder, Seena Frost, describes SoulCollage as a way to intuitively answer life's questions and participate in self-discovery.  SoulCollage is a form of meditation - of listening to your soul.  See how the various aspects of yourself can be revealed, healed and celebrated.

Course fee:  $40
Materials:     $5

"Becoming The Mother You Wish You Had"
By Member Catherine Wilson
and Lyndall Johnson

May 10 and 11  9:00am-4:00pm
Catherine Wilson
No mother is perfect - ours weren't and we aren't.  The good news is, healing and transformation can occur when we get in touch with our truth, break old patterns and bring new tools into our lives and our families which allow us to live from a more loving place in ourselves and in our relationships.

Whether or not you have children, this is for women who want to nurture and be nurtured, heal and be healed.  These two days are dedicated to healing, inspiration and practical support for being more of the mother you wish you'd had.

Bios:  This workshop combines the talents of psychologist Lyndall Johnson - President and Founder of Aslan Institute - and singer/writer Catherine Wilson.  Both bring their professional and personal experiences along with their own writings about being daughters, mothers and grandmothers.

This workshop will be held at Aslan Institutie: 4141 Old Sibley Memorial Hwy, Eagan

Cost: $195 - Organic Lunches provided both days

  • The Spirit Vine Listeners will be available after church services for a one-on-one talking/listening session for anyone who needs an ear or support for whatever may be happening in his or her life.  You will find a Spirit Vine person outside the meditation room after the service for this purpose.  This idea and request came from several of those people attending the "Who are We and Where are We going " forum a few weeks ago.  Thanks for the suggestion.
