February 27, 2013

Greetings!

"We have the task - the inner work - of taking in and holding in tension all that is visible in the world with all that is invisible and myserious.  By this means, other, unknown, and surprising factors may enter in to bring about change.  This is the path of faith, hope and love."
 Robert Sardello

 March: Spirituality/Religion

This Sunday: (Second Service)
GRATITUDE AND NEW GROWTH
ShannaMcCann
By: Shanna McCann
      10:30-11:30am

My journey with alopecia began when I was 13.  I spent the next 21 years watching my hair fall out in stages.  In February 2012, I suffered a major hair loss and with it, received a spiritual invitation to do deep healing work.  It was an invitation I did not want to accept.

Gratefully, through Spirit United, I had made the connections to  mentors and resources that helped guide me on my journey toward developing the practice of Gratitude - the river that feeds new growth!

SOMETHING NEW HAS BEEN ADDED.
On the first Sunday of each month, beginning on March 3, 2013, Spirit United will host "Wags and Worship", a celebration of All Beings, where pets are welcome.

To take advantage of the second service, as well, we ask that you drop your pets back home before returning to Spirit United.  A special service will follow at 10:30.  See Above.

The Spirit of Freedom
Freedom
Orlando Patterson said, "The ultimate freedom is the discovery of the power, the divine, in one's own being, a discovery which can only bring love, for oneself and for others. God is Love; the pure love, the noble love and high love of the free Soul. "  To hear the full message by Rev. Ron, click here

MOVIE NIGHT:    PILLARS OF FAITH
MARCH 1, 2013
7-9:00pm

This installment of the Pillars of Faith series dissects the world's three major religions - Christianity, Islam and Judaism - and examines the traits they have in common, rather than focusing on their differences.

The program features footage filmed at important religious sites around the world, significant works of religious art and interviews with respected scholars providing a comprehensive overview of each faith.   Discussion follows the film.  Free Popcorn.

A $5 free-will donation is suggested.
The Light in the Dark Night
Healing Depression Crying Eye in Clouds over Water

A Saturday, March 2, Intensive
By Center for Wholeness at Spirit United and Rev. Ron Moor
10:00am - 4:00pm

Depression occurs when drains on our life-force are so great that we lose the ability to restore our self.  We can find our self in an ever-descending spiral into darkness and hopelessness.  Energy Healers, as aware, knowledgeable and compassionate caregivers, can be of help.

Bringing light into the darkness and assisting the soul on its journey is a sacred task that goes beyond the realm of secular psychology.  We will learn traditional approaches of working with this affliction in cultures where the secular and the sacred have not been separated.  We will learn how to enter the higher realms of being so that we can access and channel powerful yet refined flows of energy that can be of assistance and support to those struggling with all levels of depression.

Open to all.  $90.
