The Alliance Difference
The Alliance stands out among the rest as a solution for employers that self-fund their health benefit plan. More than a provider network, we're a not-for-profit employer-owned and directed cooperative that exists to serve our members not to make a profit.
Here are some more ways The Alliance stands out:
- We consider both quality and cost when negotiating with providers and build inflation controls into our agreements.
- We use our provider agreements to create incentives for providers to improve the quality of care they deliver.
- Our annual SPD Analysis provides a tool for members to compare their benefit plan against the plans of their peers.
- Data management and claims reporting tools give members a way to see and understand their costs so they can make an impact on them.
- Our Findings on Claims Utilization Statistics (FOCUS) report helps members identify trends in expenditure and medical conditions and compare against other plans.
- Alliance members have access to a wealth of educational tools and resources to promote employee wellness all year round as well as disease-specific toolkits, self-care guidebooks and literature. Many are offered at no cost.
- Our health policy committee evaluates the legislative landscape and takes action on issues likely to impact our members.
- Our member services manager meets with employers one-on-one to help them make the most of their membership.
- Employees save on claims that are non-covered services if a provider is part of The Alliance network.
