Office Out of Power: It Happened to Us

Well, it was bound to happen! We've seen how using TAC Online helped many of our customers keep their businesses going while needing to work remotely. This past Friday, it was our turn!
A traffic accident in the morning took out the electrical power to our office complex. As soon as we saw that this was going to take some time, we sent everyone home to work remotely. Here's what we were able to do:
- Since we use TAC Online to run Clear Computing, every member of our team had access to all our customer information over the internet.
- With TAC Online, we could create and send work orders via email to keep track of our work items.
- We could serve our customers via our online chat or remote desktop system ( all over the internet from anywhere).
- We could email an invoice and receive instant payment via credit card.
- Since we use VOIP, our telephone system is over the internet (using 8x8), and incoming calls were routed to everyone at home.
None of our work was interrupted, even though our office was closed and in the dark. Improvements:
- Work order will now display rates through .999 if used.
- Speed up of start-up and site master display
- Faster emailing of documents.
Fixes: - When posting a notational entry to an invoice for a payment, the sales credit tracking was incorrectly postulated with posting clerk code. It is now blank.
- When generating a multi-site invoice in multiple tax categories, system did not report correctly in the monthly summary. Now line charges from re-occurring billing will populate tax categories.
- Suppressing surcharges for specific rate codes did not always work during the bulk invoicing process. It failed if the previous site processed required a surcharge and the second did not.

"He fainted a couple miles up the trail," Harry's partner answered.
"You left him lying there alone and carried the deer back?"
