Missing Man Run
The POW/MIA Missing Man Run is a pledge supported ride departs Battley Harley-Davidson on Friday, September 12th 2014, at 10 am under a Police Escort* and should arrive NLT 3 pm with a lunch and refuel stop on Kent Island.

 

The pledge money supports wounded warriors through Operation Provide Comfort, we ask each rider to attempt to secure pledges of at least $100.   

To support each riders there is space on our Rider Support web page for friends and family to donate. The amount pledged is based on each individual's ability to obtain sponsors to pay a per mile pledge for the 200 mile run and are based on the participate completing the ride (rain or shine).

 

Registration is $35. Each rider will receive a POW/MIA Ball Cap and a MIA Bracelet honoring SSG STEPHEN GIEST.

Greetings!

Remember tonight (April 23) is Post 295 night at Mamma Lucia's in Fallsgrove! Bring the coupon below and we will receive 20% of your bill.

 

We have great news. A few members of the Executive Committee were able to tour a possible home location for Post 295. A member of our Sons of the American Legion is taking a big step to ensure our Posts success by offering to underwrite the rent on this property for 1 year. The property is located adjacent to the Germantown Mark Station and has plenty of parking nearby. Should this move forward we would be looking for donations of gently used table and chairs.

 

The biggest concern is generating sufficient revenue, this should be accomplished by securing Instant Ticket Lottery Machines which look and work like slot machines but the results come from tickets. You can see the machines 

here. The Lottery anticipates that each machine would be able to produce $100 a day, grossing enough to cover the rent and help our programs. 

 

Imagine the difference Post 295 will make with the addition of a Post home, with we you can make in the community better. It is because of Veterans like you that inspired then Lt Col Teddy Roosevelt Jr to dream of an organization that would become The American Legion.

Time to order your 2014 Legion Convention shirt. You don't need to be going to the Convention to get one. 

This years shirt will be RED. With Vietnam Veterans Memorial Post 295 around the Legion Emblem on the right breast pocket.

Shirts come in male and female sizes. Specify Pocket or no pocket and if you would like your name under the emblem. Select Pay Now, enter your size and style in the comments block. Personalized orders will be cut-off at May 10th. After that you can purchase a shirt with just the Legion emblem and Maryland.
