DATELINE: Ready for the New Year

Issue # 14-1

January 22,  2014
 Greetings!

Forgive me for being behind in my correspondence. Hope your holidays went well. We were not resting over the holidays and in fact we have been very busy.

The annual luncheon for wounded warriors at Walter Reed to place on December 26th. Thanks to Mamma Lucia Restaraunt in Bethesda we were able to feed over 150 patients, families and staff a hearty meal. The meal consisted of Eggplant Parmigiana,, Chicken Brunello, and much more.

Mamma Lucias Restaraunts would also like to support the Post by holding a Post fundraiser. A portion of every bill will be donated to the Post. See the coupon below for details. You can share this with family and friends.

The Military Bowl was a success, in that we onoly had a few weeks to get this going. We had a good show in the parade. We need to plan our participation for next year.  The Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman kicks off at 2:30 p.m. and matches teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference and Conference USA. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets and parking by visiting militarybowl.org.

Mentors work with Wounded Warriors to help them prepare for life after leaving the military or for a new military career.    Mentors help Wounded Warriors identify education, internship, and employment opportunities and assist them in identifying and accessing benefits and other resources.

WWMP is an all-volunteer program and is not part of any Federal program. Participation in the WWMP is voluntary on the part of Wounded Warriors. There is no charge or obligation associated with participation in the WWMP.

This program has no relation to the  "Wounded Warrior Project (WWP)."  WWMP does not solicit funds from anyone!  All, approximately 200 plus WWMP members do not get paid-NO ONE IN WWMP GETS PAID!!  100% volunteers.
