Get ready for FUN with your favorite teachers! Each family will be receiving a copy of the Teacher Experiences Catalog for the 2016 Noche de Carnaval Auction, so check those backpacks! If this is your first experience with the Auction, Teacher Experiences offer an opportunity for your child to engage in a fun activity with their teacher, staff members and administrators doing something FUN outside of the normal classroom environment. There are a LOT of great choices this year!

Read through the catalog carefully. It includes step-by-step instructions for registering, bidding, sign-ups and donations. It also includes detailed descriptions of each of the Teacher Experiences offered this year so you can be prepared to login and start bidding on Wednesday morning!

On Wednesday March 9th, online bidding and sign-ups open at 10:00 am! Experiences that are SIGN-UPs will go fast! Don't delay! Once the sign-ups are full, they will close. On Wednesday, March 16th, all bidding for Teacher Experiences will close. Deadline for International Festival Submissions
Deadline: Thursday, March 10th

Calling all hidden talent in our Puesta Del Sol Community! Deadline this week, March 10th! We are looking for performances representing the cultural heritage and diversity of our student population. Share yours!

Our International Festival is now accepting submissions for student-inclusive cultural performance acts from the Puesta del Sol community. We need 2-3 more acts of 2-4 minutes in length to fill out the performance line-up for our May 7th International Festival.  There are two great ways you can help make our International Festival performances even more amazing:
  1. Teach a simple dance and/or song(s) from your culture to a group of Puesta del Sol students.
  2. Already have a student or students with a unique and entertaining cultural act ready to shine on stage?
Ideas from previous years:  Chinese Dragon dance, Japanese fan dances, Hawaiian hula, Israeli folk dances, Maori haka dance, and we've even had an entire family share traditional folk songs from their ancestral country accompanied by their guitar-playing dad.
Anyone interested please email no later than March 10th.

Room Parents and Yearbook Classroom Coordinators Upload Yearbook Photos Now!
If you are a room parent or classroom yearbook coordinator, please upload yearbook photos NOW! We are getting extremely close to our deadline and many classes do not have any photos uploaded, or enough variety.  Be sure that your class has a nice sampling of at least 25-35 quality photos for yearbook consideration. Remember we are looking for group shots that showcase students, their smiling faces and fun times in class. Thank you for your attention to this! If you have questions, please contact

Tuesday March 29, 2016, 5:00pm for K/1, 5:30pm for 2-5

Please contact Annie Robinson at if you are able to donate items for the bake sale.  Items can be dropped off in the Main Office office starting Monday afternoon of March 28th (there will be either a bin or cart for them to be placed). Items can also be dropped off at the Bake Sale Table on the day of the event.
  • Please NO NUTS, peanut butter, or nut butter in the baked goods.
  • Packaged snacks are a great donation idea for those who are allergy aware.
  • Items need to be individually wrapped (baggies are fine) and will be sold for $1
