Box Tops for Education Update
  • The box top team is still working with the 2nd grade team to coordinate a day that will work for the students to have the extra recess for the competition win.
  • We are still collecting Box Tops even though the competition is completed. Remember they do expire so drop them off in the office ASAP. We have collected over $1,000 this year. LET'S KEEP EARNING!!!

We are always looking for volunteers who are interested in counting the box tops. Email bernice@mitchlacey.com if you would like to help count.

Labels for Education Update

Puesta del Sol has discontinued the collection of Labels for Education. Since November 2011, we collected 27,600 points and redeemed 27,450 of those points in March for 9 boxes of much needed recess equipment such as jump ropes, footballs, basketballs, playground balls, and the like. Thank you for your support!

Overdue Library Books

Notices via email will be going out this week reminding families that their books are overdue.  As we near the end of school it is crucial to find and return overdue books, or pay for lost books.  Payments can be made on-line at the Bellevue School District website - look for Touchbase to pay for a lost book, or by cash or check made out to Puesta del Sol.  Last day of check out will be May 29th, but students will still have regular library time until the end of the school year.

Thank you all for helping to keep our book collection up to date and in good health!!  Please speak with Mrs. Brody if you have any additional questions.
Summer Camp? Community Events?

Did you know that the PTA website has a webpage dedicated to summer camps and community programs? This year, thanks to a fellow parent at Cherry Crest Elementary, there is a search engine available to help you plan and register your kids for local summer camps! Check out this year's  list of camps at Puesta del Sol

Find more information about these and other great community events on the PTA website.
