Walkathon: Run to the Finish Line!

Pledges due by October 20

Thank you to all that participated in this year's Walkathon. It was a great success!  We had over 500 kids walking, running, eating, and dancing! Please remember, as much fun as the Walkathon is, it's also a fundraiser that is critical to our PTA's programming (Amities, RAD, Math Olympiad, field trips, etc).

Our goal for this fundraiser is $50,000.  We are only at 60% collected which brings us to $30,000 thus far...

Donations are due by Monday, October 20th. Parents donate here and friends and family don't need an account to donate at our Guest Donation page. If you choose to send in a check, please make the check payable to "Puesta del Sol PTA". Deposit all cash or check donations in the secure PTA money mailbox in the front office with your pledge forms.

We appreciate support at any level, so please give what you can. Appreciation gifts are offered at the $75 and $150 giving levels for pledges received by Monday, October 20th. Thank you!

  • Don't forget to match your Walkathon donations! Click here for information on Corporate Matching funds.
  • After the Walkathon summary posted here

Each year, new and returning families have proven to have amazing talents to share behind the scenes. Help support bringing back this incredible tradition this year by volunteering!

Academic Challenge Opportunity!

This Year's Theme is: "The World Would Be a Better Place If..."

It is time for the first Academic Challenge opportunity! Reflections is a fun and creative way for students to let their artistic side shine. The Reflections Program is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts competition that includes school, district, state and national levels. Students from all grades can enter a project in one of six categories: literature, music, photography, visual arts, film/video, or choreography/dance.

All entries must follow:

  • National PTA Reflections rules
  • Be original work completed by the student
  • Be accompanied by a signed official entry form

Complete guidelines, rules, and the entry form can be found on the Puesta del sol PTA website. To conserve paper, hard copies will not be distributed. If you do not have access to a printer, please email reflections@puestadelsolpta.org to get a copy of the form. Artwork with completed entry forms should be dropped off in the "Reflections" box located in the front office between Monday, October 27 and Monday, November 3 (by 3:30pm).

Finally, join us in celebrating the students' hard work and creativity at the Reflections Gallery Night where we will display all entries and announce which have been chosen to go to the District level competition. The Reflections Gallery Night will take place on Wednesday, December 10 from 6:30 to 7:30 in the school gym where students can take their artwork and ribbons home starting at 7:15pm.
