News from the Library

Library check out closed for the year

Notices will be emailed next week about lost or overdue library books.

Please return ALL library books before school is out

If lost, send a check made out to Puesta del Sol to cover the costs of the lost book.  Students who have not returned or paid for lost books before the end of the year will not receive their Yearbook and will not be able to check out next year until the books are returned or paid for. Thanks for helping to  keep our library collection up to date!

Inventory Volunteers Needed

Helpers needed to scan books for inventory. It's a very easy job, drop by any time.

Poetry Chair - The famous Poetry Chair appeared in the library right after Spring Break. Students are challenged to memorize and recite a poem in the Poetry Chair. I ask that students recite a number of lines based on their grade:

Kindergarten - nursery rhymes or a 4 line poem
1st grade - poem with 4 lines or more
2nd and 3rd grade - poem with 8 lines or more
4th and 5th grade - poem with 12 lines or more
Share your favorite poem with your children and encourage them to try out the Poetry Chair!!
