| Science Fair is Next Week! Wednesday, March 12Room assignments will be sent out tomorrow, Saturday, March 8. If your student is expecting to be at the science fair and you don't get an email about their project tomorrow, please contact James Dooley. The schedule of events are as follows: Grades K-1
5:00 - 5:30: Arrive and set up in your assigned room
5:30 - 6:15: Judging (All participants need to be at their boards for judging.)
6:15 - 6:30: Go to Library for raffle and closing statements
K-1 students will not need to leave their room to participate in the Scavenger Hunt
K-1 students are free to go home at 6:30pm.
Grades 2-3
5:30 - 6:15: Arrive and set up in your assigned room
6:15 - 7:00: Judging (All participants need to be at their boards for judging.)
7:00 - 7:45: Scavenger Hunt
7:45 - 8:00: Go to Gym for raffle and closing statements
Grades 4-5

Science Fair Volunteers, Baked Goods & Raffle Prizes Needed! In addition to bakers and food sales, volunteers are needed for 30 minute shifts as room monitors, judges, greeting students, setup, tear-down, photographers and the scavenger hunt. Also, science-themed items can dropped off at the PTA office to be used as prizes for the scavenger hunt raffle. Please e-mail James Dooley if you're able to help in any way at James Dooley. |

4th and 5th grade Drama Club 2014: Pinocchio
Time to plan for Pinocchio!
- Registration info will be out mid-March
- Rehearsals begin with auditions May 5th
- Mandatory rehearsals for Tech Week are June 9, 10, 11, & 12
- Pinocchio performance will be June 13 &14 @ 7pm

We are looking forward to the upcoming Art Gallery Night. Please hold onto any examples of class Art Appreciation lessons for display. All the class Auction projects will be on display as well!

| Rain City Water Polo is a year round water polo club that caters to all ages and ability levels. Whether your student has played during Midlakes in the summer or wants to try it for the first time, we have a spot for everyone. Amity Interns: 2014-2015 Host Families Needed!
We are so fortunate to have the interns at our school. They are invaluable to our teachers and add so much to our school community.
We are anticipating having 4-5 interns next year, so we will need 12 (possibly 15) families to open their homes. Please fill out and submit your applications now. This is handled on a first come first serve basis.

| Calling all Bakers-Science Fair Needs You!
Please help make this year's Science Fair Bake Sale a success. We need baked goods to be sold at the fair as well as volunteers to take shifts for sales. Please contact Annie Robinson at [email protected] if you plan on dropping off goodies and/or you would like to help at the table. Items can be dropped off at the PTA office the day of the event or at Annie's home by appointment. |
| Auction Volunteers Needed on Saturday March 29
Would you like to attend the auction but don't want to buy a ticket? Or maybe you are already going and would like to help out a bit as well! If so, consider helping out at the event as a volunteer! We need volunteers to help with set up during the day, closing the silent auction, runners, selling raffle tickets, registration, check out, security etc. You can commit for a couple of hours before or after the event or during the event. We also welcome high school students in need of volunteer hours.
