Overdue Books
For the first time this year I have the option of sending out bulk email reminders about overdue books. The last ones that were sent out overlapped with winter break and I apologize to those of you who returned your books right away in the week after winter break. I am hoping that the emails will serve as a reminder for those students who have had books out for quite a long time and need to return them so other students might enjoy checking them out. No student is allowed to check out books when they have one or more books that are overdue. If the book is lost, please send a check made out to Puesta del Sol for the amount listed on the email. If the book is found at any time, I am happy to refund your payment. Thanks so much for supporting our library.

February is "Read Candace Fleming" Month
I am thrilled to announce that eight Bellevue Librarians wrote a large BSF grant to bring author Candace Fleming from Chicago to Bellevue this month. It has been funded and Candace will visit our school on Friday, February 28 for the entire day! Her books range from picture books to chapter books, historical fiction and nonfiction. She will be signing pre-purchased books, so look for the pre-order book form in the library, coming home via your student or click here. *Books will not be sold on the day of her visit.
On Friday, February 28th students will come to the library by grade to hear Candace talk about her wonderful books, writing and research. Class schedules will be posted and parents are welcome to watch the presentation. For more information, click here.
