Volunteer Opportunities

Be a Part of the Puesta del Sol Green Team!

If you are someone who cringes at the sight of the styrafoam trays each time you enter the lunch room, you are the person for this job. We currently have a few staff members and are looking for some parent representation.
We meet just a few times a year. Please email Srta. Zelda if this sounds like something you would like to be part of at menardz@bsd405.org.

Attention Dads! Become a part of Watch D.O.G.S.

Watch DOGS is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center for Fathering. It invites fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or other father figures to volunteer at least one day, all day, at school.

Last Wednesday, over 50 dads and their kids attended the pizza kick-off event. We were joined by Jerry Martin, Top Dog at Fryelands Elementary in Monroe and Bill Booth, Watch DOG Coordinator at North Beach Elementary in Seattle. A huge "Muchas Gracias" to all who attended!

Thank you to Sra. Nestor for speaking at the event and to the PTA for funding this great program! Over 50 volunteer days were chosen by dads but there's still a lot of room to sign up. Contact Tony Guidotti at watchdogs@puestadelsolpta.org for more information.
