A Message from the District
You may not have received all the messages your school has sent out this fall. This summer the district moved to a new Student Information System called ASPEN. During the transfer, student contact information was brought over to the new system. Every student has contact information. However, the information needs to be reviewed and updated. School staff members are in the process of verifying the data. They are using directory and emergency contact information provided by parents and guardians to check and update individual student contacts. Additional staff support from the district is also being provided to schools to support this work. District wide school staff members are working hard to finish the review and updates by early October.
You can access the messages and communications sent by your school, by logging into School Messenger http://www.bsd405.org/schoolmessenger. Have your student numbers handy to log into the system.

Are You Receiving all Communications
On Monday September 16th, Sra Nestor sent out a Newsletter with the following message:
"As many of you may know, the district transferred to an updated student record system over the summer. While all student data transferred successfully, some contact info was mislabeled causing primary emails/phone numbers to be switched with secondary contact information. We are working hard to assure that all contact information is as up to date as possible using the Emergency Release Forms that you fill in for each student. While this work continues, please feel free to forward this email along to any families that may not have received it."
If you did not receive this email, you are not the primary contact for your child. Until the system is completely updated you can access the messages and communications sent by your school by logging into School Messenger http://www.bsd405.org/schoolmessenger. Have your student numbers handy to log into the system.
