How can we grow the organization if National keeps shooting us in the foot?
On Monday the Boy Scout's decided to kick out Scoutmaster Geoff McGrath simply because he is gay, even though he has the full support of his chartering Church.
It seems the "leaders" at national don't want to rock the boat. They won't even acknowledge that they are talking about change. They better be. What kind of "leaders" would be ignoring this issue?
So instead of doing the right thing they are going to pay lawyers to make sure good qualified people are excluded from Scouting. It's enough to make me want to quit (again).
But I'm not a bystander
I don't know what it will take to make the people at National wake up to the reality that their anti-gay political and social agenda has no place in our youth organization. But we have to keep trying to get the message across to them.
