It's Suicide Prevention Week so what does that have to do with scouting?

 

The sad fact is that some adolescents commit suicide.  Boy Scouts are adolescents.  The logical conclusion is not difficult to figure out*.

 

 

What can we do to promote suicide awareness?

 

Talk about it.  Postpone your Scoutmaster Minute on "being prepared" for another time.
  
  

Why not show this at your Troop Meeting after the slide show on the 50 mile backpacking trip...

*Yeah, I know the logical conclusion that some boy scouts commit suicide is not supported by the first two statements, it is possible logically that no boy scouts commit suicide.  While I wish this were true, I know for a fact that it isn't.  All this proves is that if you figured this out you are as nerdy as I am.
