An Interfaith Symposium will be held on campus Wednesday, March 3 and Thursday, March 4 including lectures, music performances, interfaith worship services.Paul Knitter, Malcolm Nazareth and Najeeba Syeed will contribute in the Interfaith Panel discussion moderated by Wanda Deifelt, "Persons of Multiple Belongings as Agents of Peace," at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, in Valders 206.

The Book Shop will begin returning  books to the publishers in March. To be certain you have all books needed for your classes, we strongly encourage you to purchase them now.

Rachel Madryga and Oliva Heitz's collaborative senior art show "Synthesized" will be taking place in the Union Gallery from February 27- March 11. There will be a gallery reception with refreshments and treats on Saturday March 5 from 4-6 p.m. Come enjoy a unique gallery experience with us!

John Cord, Luther College assistant professor of music, will perform a trumpet recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Music Hall. 
 
When tragedies occur, people tend to wonder why they happen. For those who associate their religious health with the health of the world, they may believe that a higher power is displeased with them. Martin Kavka will discuss models of this behavior as well as suspicion of it in his guest lecture, "Does God Watch Over Our Nation, or Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good Citizens?" at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, in Valders 206.

Peter Boie, Magician for Non-Believers, will be at Luther College on March 4 at 7:30 in Marty's! Peter's show is about two things, astonishing magic, and having a good time; and he doesn't skimp on either. He's been nominated for nominated for "Entertainer of the Year 2015", "Best Variety Performer" "Fastest Rising Star", and "Best Male Performer". Working on your Paideia research paper? Wondering how to keep track of your sources, create a bibliography and footnotes? Zotero (free application) helps you collect, manage, and cite your sources. Bring your laptop to our workshop and learn how to download Zotero and set it up to manage your resources (available for PCs and MACs). When: Wednesday, March 2. Where: Preus Library, Hovde Room. Ecology of Ecuador Informational Session - J-term 2017 Study Away. Luther College is proud to present "In Memoriam Eius," a concert of new music for voices and percussion at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 6, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music. A pre-concert talk will be offered at 3 p.m. in the choir room in Jenson-Noble before the concert.

The Summer Housing Office is hiring! There are several spots available this summer for responsible, enthusiastic, and outgoing individuals. Duties include facilitating client registrations, answering telephones, providing basic information about Luther/Decorah, and more. We want students with excellent communication skills, a strong ability to work independently and take direction from peers, and a focus on providing excellent customer service. Join in a conversation about What can WE do to foster racial justice?

Luther's LARGEST CAREER FAIR ever! There will be almost 50 organizations attending the SPRING CAREER FAIR on Thursday, March 3 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the Dahl Centennial Union. Representatives will be here to visit with students from all majors about their internships and full-time career opportunities. You won't want to miss this one! Hosted by the Career Center.

Get an inside look at the day-to-day activities of professionals working in a field that interests you. All shadow sites will be in Decorah for your convenience! The Development Office is seeking applicants to assist office staff with daily duties and special projects for the 2016-2017 year. Daily work includes stuffing mailings, assisting with electronic filing, helping answer the phone and run errands on campus. Interested candidates should have attention to detail, customer service skills, honesty, discretion, the ability to follow exact processes, learn quickly, and to collaborate with others. The offices of Student Activities Council (SAC) and Student Organizations are seeking students to work in our offices during the 2016-2017 year.Daily work consists of assisting the SAC Exec Board, and other various office staff to perform basic office duties. Tasks may include constructing advertisements for SAC events, working with Google Drive and Microsoft programs, and other typical office tasks.
