At Work in the World! Saturday, February 20, 4:00-6:00 p.m. Hovde Room, Preus Library. Conversation "stations" with Luther grads on how they have put their English majors to good use in writing, editing, marketing, teaching, librarianship, and arts administration.
Luther College Ministries will host its annual Gospel Sunday worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday, February 14, in the Center for Faith and Life, Main Hall. The community is invited to attend the service. The guest preacher will be Khalid Moussa Foster, a teacher, scholar and activist, committed to the cause of racial justice. Luther's Gospel Choir, directed by Brendon Adams and Sam Simataa, Luther class of 2013, will provide music for the service.
Join the Conversation: Addressing Islamophobia on college campuses - Stories of anti-Muslim bigotry seem to be everywhere. The New York Times recently reported that crimes against Muslim Americans have risen sharply since the terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino. Join the Interfaith Youth Core for their online discussion Wednesday, February 17 at 12 noon in Mott Room. Participants will learn how different campuses have effectively responded to incidents of Islamophobia and religious hate and how to proactively build inclusive environments.

Is self-actualization a uniquely human process or do systems, such as academic institutions, follow a similar path? From their respective disciplines of chemistry and social work, Brad Chamberlain and Britt Rhodes will discuss what they see changing and remaining the same in their lives, disciplines and institution. The lecture, titled "Identity and the Academy: Embracing Change," will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, in the Center for Faith and Life, Recial Hall. A reception will follow in Qualley Lounge. Reflecting his experience and relationship to Norway, artist Josh Black's installation titled, "Let Go," will be on display February 13-March 8. A reception will take place at 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, in the Wigley-Fleming Fine Arts Gallery.

The Center Stage Series is excited to present Grammy-award winning Wu Man with the Shanghai Quartet on Thursday, February 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the CFL. The world's premier pipa virtuoso and the Shanghai Quartet combine the delicacy of Eastern music with a contemporary music vision for a stunning evening of lively music. Attention Students Registered for Private Music Lessons --If you decide to drop lessons the following schedule will be used to compute the charge for spring 2016: Dropping lessons: by February 7 - No charge; by February 14 - $42 charge; by February 21 - $84 charge; by March 1 - $126 charge; after March 1 - Full charge/$475. This schedule will be followed with no exceptions.
