The Center Stage Series is excited to present Grammy-award winning Wu Man with the Shanghai Quartet on Thursday, February 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the CFL. The world's premier pipa virtuoso and the Shanghai Quartet combine the delicacy of Eastern music with a contemporary music vision for a stunning evening of lively music. Gereon Kopf will discuss how we develop identities and their psychological, political, moral and religious dimensions at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, in the CRH. The lecture, titled Shape-Shifting Identities: Seeking Stability in a Sea of Change is part of the 2015-16 Religion Forum Series.

Luther College Music Department presents guest piano recitalist David Shaffer-Gottschalk in concert at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 13, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music. Shaffer-Gottschalk will perform Sonatas and Interludes by John Cage.

Work in the Luther Gardens this summer! The semester may have just started, but we can't stop dreaming about summer! We are looking for students to get their hands dirty and help with production for the Luther kitchens. Applications for summer garden and farm work are due March 1st to HR in addition to a supplemental Luther Sustainability application. Attention Students Registered for Private Music Lessons --If you decide to drop lessons the following schedule will be used to compute the charge for spring 2016: Dropping lessons: by February 7 - No charge; by February 14 - $42 charge; by February 21 - $84 charge; by March 1 - $126 charge; after March 1 - Full charge/$475. This schedule will be followed with no exceptions.

Campus Programming and Center for Ethics and Public Life host Robert George, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University, and professor and philosopher Cornel West on Thursday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the CFL Main Hall. They will discuss what it means to learn from each other despite deep differences on important questions and ways they developed the skills of talking fruitfully across political, ideological, and other differences.

BTQ Talent Show! The Beta Theta Omega organization invites Luther and the Decorah community to its annual BTQ Talent Show on Saturday, February 20th at 7:30 p.m. in the CFL . Tickets will be on sale from February 15th-19th in the Union; $3 at the table and $5 at the door. Funds will go towards Decorah First Lutheran Free Clinic and the Refugees community. To raise money and awareness to stop violence against women and girls, 26 Luther students will present three benefit performances of Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues" on February 12-13 at 7:30 p.m., and February 14 at 1:30 p.m., in the CRH.Tickets are available through the Ticket Office or at the door if available. Seating is on a first-come first-served basis. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each performance.
Attorney Yer Vang will present on the topic of Immigration: Helping Strangers Become Neighbors. The talk will discuss current immigration trends and an overview of immigration law, and what communities can do to seek immigration justice for their new neighbors.
