ANNOUNCEMENTS
LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE! January 27 is the due date for books checked out from the main stacks by students on or before Friday, January 22. Books may be renewed once online or by bringing them in physically to the circulation desk if you have exceeded the renewal limit. The new due date is April 1, the first Friday after Spring Break. Click on "Library Account" online at  http://www.luther.edu/library/
, then "My Library Account" in the upper right corner after signing in to see what you have checked out and when it is due.

ALL-COLLEGE CONVOCATION - One of the University of Iowa's most popular teachers, David Gould, will speak at opening convocation Thursday, February 4, at 9:40 in the Center for Faith and Life. His "Life Design" course is the basis for his convocation address, "Play, Passion, and Purpose:  A New Arc for Education." All students are encouraged to attend. 
 
SAC Concert: Panic! At the Disco - Saturday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Regents Center. Student tickets go on sale Thursday, February 11 at the Ticket Office in the Center for Faith and Life. Public tickets sales begin Thursday, February 18. Tickets are free with the Co-Curricular Activities Fee (CAF) or $40 without.

Heart shaped chocolate chip cookies, red velvet cake and white cake are waiting for your personalized message to give that special someone, a friend, or someone who just deserves a treat! Order at www.luther.edu/dining/submit/valentines/ by Wednesday, February 10and pick them up in the Dining Services Office on Friday, February 12
. Each treat is only $6.50 and dining dollars can be used as payment.

DATA CULTURE networking series (February 11) - Channel your research interests into viable tech and information careers. Library and Information Services and the Career Center have collaborated to bring speakers who will discuss their innovative work as teachers, designers, archivists, and administrators. Learn about emerging vocational opportunities and connect with professionals and grad school faculty. Meal at 6:00 p.m. followed by 7:30 p.m.public presentations. RERUNS
The Luther College Visual and Performing Arts department presents stories of tragedy and triumph in the play "The Man Who" at 3 p.m.Tuesday, January 26, in Studio II in the Center for the Arts. "The Man Who" is a play that tells the stories of neurologically damaged patients in a hospital, and how they learn to adapt to life. Organized as a first-senior January Term seminar, this performance will be performed, designed, and managed by Luther students under the direction of Professor Jeff Dintaman. 
 
It is time for the annual January blood drive hosted by the American Red Cross and  Alpha Phi Omega! The blood drive will take place on Tuesday, January 26th from 11am to 5pm located in Brunsdale lounge. The Honors Advisory Committee is pleased to announce that Alexis Hove has been awarded a Wigeland/American-Scandinavian Foundation Scholarship toward her intended study in Norway at the University of Oslo in 2016.

Before tossing your old course supplies from J-Term, consider if someone else can get another use out of them and bring them to the Office Supplies Reuse Closet in Valders 364. Simply place the supplies in an orderly fashion on the shelf to the right of the door. Remember, the more you give and the more you take, the more successful this project is!
