The Dean's Office is pleased to sponsor a reading group for the book Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. Professors Joe Breitenstein and Paul Gardner will help lead a discussion of the book from 3-5 p.m. Friday, January 15 in Mott Room in Dahl Centennial Union. Copies of the book may be picked up in the Dean's Office after after registration. Register online.

Iowa Caucus Exhibit -- This January, Preus Library is hosting a traveling exhibit from the State Historical Museum of Iowa. First in the Nation: Shaping Presidential Politics since 1972 will be on the Main Floor of Preus Library January 4-15. The display includes video clips, images and artifacts from past caucuses. Launching Luther Leaders is seeking new student membership from the class of 2018. Faculty, staff and current classes of L3 may nominate potential and current student leaders who want to develop their leadership skills and pursue a variety of leadership experiences. Requirements include a minimum 2.50 GPA and sophomore status. Nominate students online. Applications will be sent to the student to continue the process of selection for the certificate program.
