Working on a paper? Doing some research? Wondering how to keep track of your sources, create a bibliography and footnotes? Zotero(free application) helps you collect, manage, and cite your sources. Bring your laptop to our workshop and learn how to download Zotero and set it up to manage your resources (available for PCs and MACs). Thursday, October 2 in Hovde Lounge, Preus Library from 8-9 p.m.

VOLUNTEER/NONPROFIT CAREER FAIR will be held Thursday, November 5, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. in the Dahl Centennial Union. Meet representatives from over 25 local, regional, and national nonprofit organizations representing a wide variety of fields who are seeking Luther College volunteers, interns, and employees. Network with people who share your interests and passions and learn more about the many opportunities available in the nonprofit and public service fields.
The Luther College Norse Knitters will be having a sale on Thursday, November 16th from1-4pmin the Union. All items for sale were handmade by the Norse Knitters. It's a great opportunity to purchase gifts for loved ones and friends before the holidays!
Freelance photojournalist Lynn Johnson depicts recovering veterans of the Middle East wars in her large-scale photograph exhibit "Unmasked: Soldiers Heal from Blast Force Damage" on display November 12 to January 10, in Preus Library. The opening of the show includes a reception in the Hovde Room from 5-7:15 p.m. Thursday, November 12. A special invitation is extended to area veterans and their families to come together at that time.
Minnesota poet and executive and artistic director of Motionpoems, Inc., Todd Boss, will present a showing of short-short film adaptations called Motionpoems at4 p.m. Friday, November 13, in Valders Hall of Science, Room 206.The event is open to the public with no charge for admission.Motionpoems turn contemporary poems into films. The films-each two or three minutes long-combine striking visuals with music and spoken word.

Linguistics Open House - Join the Linguistics Department on Wednesday, November 4 at 6:30 p.m.in Baker Commons to learn more about the scientific study of language. Meet with professors and current Linguistics students, learn about the minor and the three course options for this spring semester, and enjoy some pizza. Early Music in Decorah: Come usher in the busy holiday season with a quiet Choral Evensong Service at Grace Episcopal Church,7:30-8:15 p.m., on Thursday, November 5. Singers from the Luther College Collegium will offer music of Orlando Gibbons and Josquin des Prez. The service will be lead by James Griesheimer, with Marjorie Wharton, organist.

Luther College's brass ensembles will perform at 7:30 p.m.Tuesday, November 3, in the Center for Faith and Life, Main Hall. Luther's brass ensembles include Horn Choir, Trumpet Ensemble, Trombone Choir, and Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble. The Clarinet Choir will join the brass ensembles for the concert. The concert's repertoire is selected from six centuries of musical resources including transcriptions and original compositions.

Luther Lights - With the help of LaCrosse consulting company Michaels Energy and a number of student volunteers, Luther completed a comprehensive lighting survey across campus in 2014-2015. Every classroom, office, and open space was evaluated for enhanced energy reduction features, including occupancy sensors, day lighting, and multi-level switching. This evaluation also paved the way for future energy efficiency initiatives such as LED lighting for offices and public spaces.
