President Carlson has appointed the following individuals to the College Ministries Call Committee: Andrew Last (chair), Gifty Arthur '17, Carter Johnson '16, Martin Klammer, Kristin Swanson, Madeline Jungbauer, Ryan Gjerde, and Karen Martin-Schramm. Mike Blair will serve as an ex-officio member.
MKTO tickets will go on-sale Tuesday, September 29th! Make sure you get your ticket either outside of Nordic Brew while the SAC Concerts Committee is tabling or at the Ticket Office. Tickets will go on-sale to the public Tuesday, October 6th! NOTTINGHAM INFORMATIONAL MEETING: Sophomores interested in learning more about Luther's year-long study abroad program in Nottingham, England, are invited to attend a meeting on Tuesday, September 29, 7:30 pm in the Hovde Room, Preus Library. Former Nottingham Program participants, past directors, and the 2016-17 directors, Karen and Jim Martin-Schramm, will be present to share information and answer questions.
Flu vaccine is available at Health Service anytime during office hours 8-4:30 M-F. Additional flu clinics will be held Friday, October 2, 9-11:30 a.m. at Health Service; Monday October 5, 2-4 p.m. in the Union; Tuesday, October 20, 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the Regents Center. Cost: $25.00 (students may have applied to Student Account), faculty & staff should pay with cash or check.

Luther College Student Activities Council invites everyone to this year's SAC Flamingo Ball. Come celebrate and dance to the sounds of band The Sevilles at 9 p.m. Homecoming Saturday, October 17, in the Regents Center. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at tickets.luther.edu.
McElroy Fellowships: Graduating seniors intending to pursue a Ph.D. in any field; $30,000 stipend over a three-year period; Luther may nominate only one candidate, but only 10 colleges may submit nominees for the two annual awards. The Center Stage Series is proud to welcome this Grammy-award winning performer/composer and his quintet to perform Panama 500! Treats and treasure hunt at Preus Library. This Family Weekend, venture into the library to participate in a Norse-themed treasure hunt and win a pair of Luther earbuds. Enjoy delicious treats too! The treasure hunt commences at 2:30 on Saturday afternoon, September 26.
An adventure race, sponsored by Luther College's Mu Theta chapter of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity and the Nena Amundson Lifetime Wellness Program, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 26. The race begins at the Regents Center Circle Drive on Luther's lower campus.The adventure race consists of a three-mile canoe/kayak leg, a nine-mile bike ride and a three-mile run through the scenic city of Decorah.
Luther College's Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Band will perform as part of Luther's 2015 Family Weekend festivities at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, September 26, in Marty's located in the Dahl Centennial Union on the Luther campus. The program will explore swing music from the 1940s, 50s and 60s and will featurecompositions by Jerome Kern, Mercer Ellington, Sammy Nestico, Lee Morgan, and Benny Golson. Spanish Talent Show (Tuesday November 10@7:00 p.m., Marty's) seeking performers with various talents. Deadline to register is October 25th. If you want to join the Spanish Talent Show please submit a brief description of your performance (singing, dancing, playing a musical piece, cooking, acting, parodies, etc). All performances need to be related to Spanish Language or Spanish/Latino culture. Please Include the names and emails of all participants. For more details please contact Professor Anna De Santis .

Luther College's music department will present an evening of choral and instrumental music at 7 p.m. Saturday, September 26, as part of Family Weekend activities. The concert will be performed in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life. Seven ensembles will perform, including Aurora, Cantorei, Cathedral Choir, Collegiate Chorale, Norsemen, Wind and Percussion Ensemble and Varsity Band.
The Luther College Concert Band and Jazz Orchestra will perform in concert at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, September 26, in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life as part of Family Weekend. Joan deAlbuquerque, director of bands and associate professor of music, directs the Concert Band and Juan Tony Guzmán, director of the jazz program and professor of music, directs the Jazz Orchestra. KWLC radio station will host an afternoon of games, snacks, and live music on Saturday, September 26! Rock the Commons will be held on the Bentdahl Commons at 2 p.m. Come on out and show your support and cool dance moves while supporting the talent of Luther's own Avery Mossman and Driftwood Bones.
The Luther College Book Shop is hosting the sixth annual storybook reading session from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, September 26, in the lobby of the Union. The event will feature Luther education department students dressed as their favorite storybook characters as they read selections from various children's books. Author Andy Allen will sign copies of his "Stormin' Norman" children's book series from 1-3 p.m. in the Book Shop. Chad Sonka, Luther College alumni guest lecturer in music, will perform a baritone recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music. Sonka's recital will feature works of composers such as Vincenzo Bellini, Gustav Holst, Walter Damrosch, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Robert Schumann.
