"Live each day, have fun and be a human being" is the motto that Esther Bauer decided to follow every day following her liberation from the Nazi party in the 1940s. Bauer will present the lecture "Living History: A Holocaust Survivor Story" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life. Sponsored by SAC Leadership.
"Where There Were Many" a collaborative "growing" exhibit by artists Katie Hargrave and Amber Ginsburg, and Luther College Art 111 3D Processes students, taught by Joe Madrigal, will be on display March 24-April 29, in the Wigley-Fleming Gallery in the Center for the Arts.
A gallery reception for the artists will be held from 4-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 30.
The Luther College Piano Quartet will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music. The program opens with Mozart's Piano Quartet in G minor, followed by Antonin Dvorak's Miniatures for String Trio, and concludes with Robert Schumann's Piano Quartet in E-flat major
Norse Cheerleading will host tryouts for the 2015 football season on Sunday, March 29. There will be a clinic from 9-11 a.m. with tryouts to follow at 1 p.m. All applicants will be expected to learn a short routine and two cheers. LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE! March 27 is the due date for books checked out from the main stacks by students before Monday, March 16. Books may be renewed once online or by bringing them in physically to the circulation desk if you have exceeded the renewal limit. The new due date is May 15. Click on

Free tickets are still available for all faculty, staff, and students not participating in the Messiah concert on Friday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the CFL. Hear the story of Jesus as told by the music of G.F. Handel. Directed by Dr. Allen Hightower, participants include student soloists, Cathedral Choir, Collegiate Chorale, Nordic Choir, and Symphony Orchestra. Tickets available to the general public as well for $20/adult and $10/student. All tickets are available at the Ticket Office.

The Iowa College Foundation announces its call for proposals for R.J. McElroy Trust Student/Faculty Research Projects. Student participants must be juniors or seniors in the fall of 2015. Applications require dual authorship by the proposing student, or team of students, and a sponsoring faculty member. Maximum award is $2,000. Luther is eligible to submit up to 4 proposals.
