River North Dance Chicago, a jazz-based modern dance company will perform Friday, March 14th at 7:30 p.m. in the CFL Main Hall. The show features twelve highly trained dancers and each piece set to different music and color schemes. Included is a new piece entitled Eva, which is set to and inspired by the folk-blues music of American singer Eva Cassidy.Tickets are free with CAF and available now at the box office or at tickets.luther.edu.

The second Song Jam of the 2013-14 Luther College Art Song Jamboree series will be held at 5:15 p.m. Monday, March 17, in the Recital Hall of the Center for Faith and Life on the Luther campus. Art Song Jamboree, or "Song Jam," is a music series dedicated to the exploration of art song, new and old, and is open to the public with no charge for admission.
The Murasaki Duo, featuring husband and wife team Miko Kominami and Eric Kutz, members of the Luther College faculty, will present a piano-cello recital titled "100 years of Russian Cello Music: 1857-1959" at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 16, in the Noble Recital Hall in Jenson-Noble Music Hall.

Luther College will host a Faculty Artist Series recital at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, in the Noble Recital Hall in the Jenson-Noble Music Hall. Performers include Luther faculty Spencer Martin, Baroque violin; Kathryn Reed, harpsichord and organ; and Andrew Whitfield, baritone; guest artist Tulio Rond�n performing on Baroque cello and viola da gamba; and the Luther College Collegium Musicum.

Planning to stay on campus during spring break? Brandt, Ylvisaker, Olson, Larsen, and Farwell will close from 7 p.m. on March 21 to 10 a.m. on March 30. If you live in any of these buildings, you will not have access to your room. Residents of those buildings who want to stay on campus during the break will need to find a space in an open building. All students planning to be on campus during the break must register with Residence Life.
Student Payroll will be Friday, March 14 for February work. Your electronic pay advice will be available at My.Luther on March 14. If you have a work credit plan, both your statement of account and your pay advice will be available on My.Luther.
Lent is a time for reflection and prayer. Join us for Taiz� Worship at Soul Food during Lent, Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. in the CFL. We'll share in scripture, silence Holy Communion, and simple meditative songs from the Taiz� community in France.
Peace Week: On the Move! Join Global Concerns groups for Peace Week,March 10-16, as we explore issues and opportunities faced by those "On the Move" in our increasingly globalized society. Events will include tabling, movie screenings, interfaith celebrations, and forums. Look for event posters around campus and a full schedule on the College Ministries bulletin board in the Union.
Fall and J-term dissection students will be conducting half-hour tours of the human anatomy lab on March 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th for all students, faculty, and staff who are interested. In order to attend a tour, please make sure to sign up on the sheets posted on the door of Sampson-Hoffland Lab 153 prior to the tour. Times of each tour are listed on the sign-up sheets.
J-TERM 2015 IN TANZANIA: "Anthropology in East Africa: Culture Change Among the Maasai" is a cultural immersion experience offered for Anthropology, Africana Studies, or Environmental Studies credit. J-term Fair: The Center for Global Learning will host a J-term fair with the faculty for the 24 proposed OFF-CAMPUS courses available to answer questions about their courses! Luther College invites the community to "Immigration: Past, Present, and Future," a panel encouraging conversation on the history and current state of immigration in the United States, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, in the Center for Faith and Life Recital Hall. The discussion is sponsored by Luther's Hispanic Organization of Latinos y Amigos, and Enlaces.
Yogurt-Making Class--Love yogurt? Greek yogurt? Ever wanted to try your hand at making your own? Come spend an hour with Professor Brooke Shields on Thursday March 13from 9:45-10:45 in Valders 379 and learn how simple making yogurt can be. Professor Shields will teach two different methods -crockpot and oven- and use Greek, Bulgarian, and Georgian culture starters. This event is free for Luther faculty, staff, and students.
