Elisabeth Hottel, Luther senior and Campus Representative for Unite for Sight (UFS), will be giving a presentation on Sunday, January 20, at 7:30 pm in Valders 349 about her experiences volunteering in Honduras with UFS. She will share what it was like to volunteer abroad, how she prepared for the trip, and how you can get involved. UFS has multiple locations based in India, Ghana, and Honduras. Members of English 363 will be reading all of Milton's epic poem, Paradise Lost, on Tuesday, January 22. Beginning at 9 am, we will come awake on the fiery lake with Satan and his infernal companions. We'll visit with the Holy Light of Heaven, and we'll check out what life in Eden was like for our First Parents (hint: think blissful). Drop by any time during the day and come along for the any part of the ride--we'll be reading by the fireplace in the Union.

 

Abstracts invited for student/faculty workshop on Post-Conflict Reconstruction, Reconciliation and Peace Building, to be held March 29-30, 2013 at Illinois Wesleyan University. Opportunity for intellectual engagement for undergraduate students pursuing independent and/or honors research in human rights related areas and their faculty mentors. The annual Brandt Open Mic Bar (B.O.M.B) is this Saturday, January 19 from 8-12 in Marty's. Come to watch your fellow students show off their talent at this event. The Blood Drive is back! Come support the American Red Cross and donate blood on Monday, January 21st, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in Brunsdale Lounge. Sign up for W-2's online. It is easy to do. For instructions and more information, go to hr.luther.edu. Go to Forms for Faculty and Staff and under Tax Forms choose W-2 2012 Options. (Mac users: please do not use the "preview" application to view your W-2.) If you chose the electronic option for your 2011 W-2 you do not need to do it again for 2012. Go to "W-2 electronic consent" under Employee Profile at my.luther.edu to see which option you chose for 2011. Remember - the electronic option is the sustainable option!
