TransGuard Revolutionizes Medical Industry

 

Sonoco recently had another TransGuard case study posted to PackagingRevolution.net, a website dedicated to sharing information about returnable packaging. 

 

This case study features, Medtronic, a medical equipment manufacturer and the TransGuard tote solution that was designed to help them ship blood analyzer components.  This is the first ever TransGuard project for the medical industry and was a great success for the customer and a significant learning opportunity for Sonoco.

Sonoco Protective Solutions Launches 2nd External Newsletter!

With the success of our first external newsletter, Material Handling Monthly, we thought it only made sense to create another external newsletter to cover things related to what Sonoco Protective Solutions does in addition to Material Handling items.

"Innovations & Applications" is a new newsletter that is similar to Swing the Bat, but fit for external distribution!  The first issue is scheduled to go out on October 1, 2013.

This newsletter will go to your prospects and customers, so please e-mail Jessica Irons if you have people you want to add to the distribution list or if you have ideas for content to cover!

EPS Industry Alliance Goes Social

Sonoco is a member of the EPS Industry Alliance, a group focused on uniting the industry and educating the public about the benefits of EPS as a packaging and insulation material.

They are also focused on trying to change the incorrect perception that "foam is bad."  To help get their message out to the general public, they recently announced the launch of two new social media profiles.

Sonoco Packaging Makes Full Circle!
The Sonoco plant in Pardeeville, WI has been making some EPS packaging parts for 3M to protect their computer screen filters during shipment.


Recently, customer service ordered one of 3M's screen filters and it arrived in Sonoco packaging from Pardeeville!

This is a great example of how Sonoco is helping large companies as single individuals!
