Sonoco Protective Solutions
Swing the Bat!  Special AHR Edition
February 19, 2013

Greetings!

Sonoco Protective Solutions' Industrial group made their way to Dallas, TX the week of January 28th to exhibit at the AHR show.  This show is dedicated to the HVAC/R (heating, ventilation , air conditioning and refrigeration) industry.  This show is a unique opportunity for Sonoco to exhibit our innovative molded EPP foam components and packaging to attendees ranging from large OEM's to the small contractors.

This recent show was the biggest in AHR history and the third show at which Sonoco Protective and/or Legacy Protexic has exhibited.  Each year the number and quality of leads we collect from the show improves.  This year we got a record smashing 83 leads, and several that are of very high quality.  We even already have a lunch & learn webinar set up with a key client!  A special thanks goes out to those who came to help work the booth, set it up, and dismantle it.

And an EXTRA SPECIAL THANKS goes out to Jim Lowry in Nashville for designing and building our fantastic TV display stand!

Rheem is a manufacturer of industrial, consumer, and residential products such as furnaces and water heaters.

Sonoco has been doing a great job of helping Rheem package their new, innovative tankless water heaters in a more environmentally friendly way.

In the project shown here, Sonoco engineers have helped Rheem engineers reduce their packaging from 13 pieces down to three.  This reduced the overall product box size, decreased overall product weight (which reduces fuel costs), and reduced overall raw material usage.

Congrats to Dante Damiani, the engineer in Arlington Heights, who made this innovation possible!

Overall The Show Was a Success!

I hope you enjoyed reading about and learning a little bit more about our participation in the AHR show for the HVAC/R Industry!  We are exhibiting again next year, so please send your ideas for samples or booth designs to Jessica Irons or Scott Novak.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Jessica Irons
